What have you done to your car today?

Felt inspired this afternoon, stripped my red msport base to reveal the LCI occupancy sensor which wouldn't work in a pre LCI car.
I had sourced some E46 seats for their electric bases and found a pre LCI occupancy sensor, so I've stripped it and fitted it into my seat. The picture show that there is also a indent in the foam to cater for the occupancy sensor. And yes I left the original on in the seat so the seat will now work in both pre and post LCI cars, you just need to plug in the correct sensor.

I've done absolutely nothing to my car today. After working 12 hours I'm mentally knackered, just taken the pooch for a stroll and so its now time for a beer and an LP or two on the turntable. However, I am on here so that must count a little towards my Z activities lol.

Wiper cowl replacement is at best a 30 to 45 minute job. You have to remove the wipers, a few plastic screws, two wiring harness clips need to be transferred over to the new cowl and that's about it. Pop the old one off and pop the new one on.

More cosmetic mods. Swapped out the black and chrome kidney grills for all black ones, replaced the cracking third brake light with a black one with red LEDs and mounted a tow hook plate holder. In Massachusetts I won't pass inspection without a front plate and I don't want to drill holes in the front bumper.

Today a new water pump and thermostat, plus new engine mounts installed while the engine had to be jacked up anyway. Had already sourced oem parts and TIS instructions, but didn’t seem to find enough time to do it by myself, so let a shop do the work this time.

Also, the steering had become light and restless at 60+mph, like driving on marbles with occasional, sudden tramlining pulls. Trusted MOT engineer concluded the shocks were still fine, despite 20 years on them. Today, had four wheel alignment done and presto, when the slight toe outs of fronts were corrected, now drives like it should again.
