What have you done to your car today?

Fitted a temporary set of wheels after selling the style 269’s (they were lovely, but a little too fussy for my tastes).

Randomly, I quite like these

If I keep them I’ll be putting a spacer on the front

Car needs to settle as been on axle stands for over a week, it’s also filthy

Went out for a Grand Day Out, nice spot of lunch and an ice cream later :)
Car magnificent and 34.8mpg on the 100 mile run

Something more of a bulk update since the last TBH :

108's split, centres blasted, DIY sprayed anthracite to be true to my username, new front Eagle F1's fitted.
20mm spacers on rear, had 15mm spacers on front, but removed due to a wheel wobble. And TBH honest the front spacers robbed the front of feel IMO. There was some reduced wobble without the front spacers but a bit of re-seating of a weight-heavy front wheel seems to have corrected it.

I've also had some off and on electrical weirdness that might be due to the airbag module, but I'm continuing to monitor.

TBH I'm just posting out of enjoying a fine car. :)

Ticked over 40k today and I missed it  5 miles later the engine light came on :( I noticed some electrical tape wrapped around one of the tubes coming off the intake boot so hoping it's just a vacuum leak (new boot on order from Cotswolds). Also purchased a Creator C310 to check the codes!

First oil and filters change in my possession, man it feels good, and no nasty surprises either :)

So today I removed the boot lid, bumper and both rear wings. Also treated the underside to a coating of Lanoguard. Tomorrow I start the rebuild, rust free panels and a bumper with no scuffs. Busy weekend! IMG-20230408-WA0005.jpeg

So today was rebuild day 1. Rear panels fitted, bumper on and inner wheel arch protector things back on. Just the boot lid and wheels to go. Already looking so much better.

New water pump , thermostat housing , aluminum pulley and belt put on today . Getting ready for the summer . I had a new expansion tank put in last summer after being stranded at a local eatery . I also put in a new battery a couple weeks ago , winter finally finished the old one off . Batteries have gone up in price since the last time I had to buy one thats for sure.

Not quite managed to put it back on yet but spent the morning between meetings fixing the skid plate that came off in some high winds.

So with the rain finally stopping today I managed to get the rear wheels back on, front wheels off and Lanoguard applied, boot lid back on and aerial fitted. Hugely pleased to have the rusty panels off and replaced and a scuff free bumper!

I see you found the tape then?
That should work fine.

Glad the panels found a good home. Is that the new door fitted too?
