Repair underway; Cleaned with isopropyl Alcohol to remove any dirt and oils etc. then a few coats of furniture Clinic leather repair paint. A few more coats scheduled for tomorrow with a little bit of light blending, after todays coats have properly dried overnight.

You aren’t wrong!

It’s well documented on this Forum and in the Handbook - there are a lot who’ve got away with it but I’m not taking the risk!

The electronic guys on here have given some very detailed explanations why BMW advice should be followed and I’m not going to argue!

Thought I better take your advice

I’m afraid electronics is akin to witchcraft - so I also listen to advice of those with the knowledge!

(I used to charge across the terminal post)

I had them 3D printed etc. They are now off the car! If you really want them PM me and we can chat 👍

After using the Gtechniq ceramic coating on the bodywork, wiped the glass over with the same and it has the same effect as the rain-x. Just using the cheap screen wash I got from Aldi.

Installed an Amazon purchased - Rearview Mirror Dash Cam 2.5K Camera: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08FT7XXY7?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
Fixed rear facing wide angle camera to the inside top of my hardtop (not as clear as external mounting obv but presented simplest form of install as unsure on how to route cable under / to side soft-top and into boot and then mount to rear bumper etc... (Job for the Summer)

Fantastic job. Had not thought of that. Will come handy (eventually).

Not today but last weekend. Got it all back together again and taken it for a 2-hour drive for no other reason than the drive itself. Perfect way to see out the year
