What have you done to your car today?

I started it November 22 last year,s**t load of work but it’s paying dividends now, next on the list is a sealey pit Jack, they’re expensive, heavy and only available in the uk at the moment so I’ll pick one up when I return to uk to buy an e61 5 series soon.
Yes, lots of work but well done. I would love to do that but I would never get a permit these days, danger of fumes and gases accumulating.
Wouldn't be hard to make up a 3" tube with a muffin fan to suck air from the bottom.
So you are looking at this jack?

I listened to all the inspection pit horror stories and have had no problems to date, there’s plenty of fresh air in my garage and Ive ordered that pit Jack but the manual hydraulic version.

Car finally back on the road after loads of work, removed a bit of chassis corrosion and treated before putting everything back together, looking forward to putting some kilometers on the old girl.

Finally got round to fitting the Skyer fangs. She's now very very low upfront but the look is spot on.

Rear panel refitted and light refitted, bumper prepped and ready. Fitting will have to wait as I’ll need an extra pair of hands

Finally had the Bridgestone run flat tyres taken off and replaced with Goodyear Asymmetric non -run flats
Wow it’s like driving a different car

And the rusty bumper iron?😉

Once the diffusor arrives I’ll be taking the bumper bar for a blast and powdercoat

I guess the Barchetta behind it infected the Beamer

I’ll ask Bas about that

[ref]Zedebee[/ref], that one’s actually free of charge. A mate will do it for beer tokens which we’ll then drink afterwards. Don’t expect perfection, just a thorough blast and a thick coat of powder. Fine by me; it’s not a show piece

I like the hanging dehumidifier. Great idea. Are you using the battery/boot terminals for the trickle charger? I'd heard somewhere that charging or jump starting should only be done from the engine bay terminals ( but I could be wrong)
Lovely looking Coupe BTW

Cheers Tom
Yes battery conditioner is connected to the battery has been since summer when I bought her I also have heard the same about charging from the engine bay only ? Can not see a reason not to connect it to the battery ?

You aren’t wrong!

It’s well documented on this Forum and in the Handbook - there are a lot who’ve got away with it but I’m not taking the risk!

The electronic guys on here have given some very detailed explanations why BMW advice should be followed and I’m not going to argue!
