What have you done to your car today?

Purely down to personal preference and others I'm sure will disagree, but I swapped the front grilles on Project Freeleeta:

Stripped it!

That takes me back to when I was a kid and I found my dad at his ford Cortina and it was stripped like that.

Apparently he'd dropped a penny..........

After getting my rear tyres replaced i looked at my wheels for a while, then decided i wanted them to be a different colour :P
Back to the tyre guys to get the tyres off & onwards to the powder coating man i found in the middle of nowhere, just caught him escaping for a weeks holiday
I’ll post some pics in a couple of weeks time

Fitted the new seats I got from Street into Vall's 2.5i.
Apart from realising just how many crumbs one woman can distribute around a car, i had a pleasant surprise when I lifted the old ones out.

When I got the car over two years ago, the seller said it only had one key when he got it, so that's been sat there at least 3 years! Still works fine. Stuck it on a toothbrush charger too, just as added insurance. I've been under there with a hoover so many times and not seen the key there before. Wedged up tight against the seat rail, almost under it.

This is the finished result. After initially saying she didn't like the sports seats, after a few more miles in them Vall grew to like them in the 2.5si so hopefully these will meet with approval.

Drove the 140 miles, 100 with the roof down, to Tow Law to meet with Durham Dave. Roof motor being relocated as I type. Had an awesome drive down through Jedburgh passing the meet up point for this Sunday's drive to Seahouses. Car should be ready in 40 minutes and then it's off to Durham for a bit of a look round before heading back home via the East Coast. :driving:

We’ve headed in the opposite direction ie away from Durham, through Tow Law to the Borders!

Enjoy the drive, those roads are amazing and, compared to ours, so smooth lol.

Can I be suggest you use the Park & Ride - the bus takes you to Durham town centre!

Type in either Sniperly or Howlands

Should have washed the bugs from the front grill after our weekend away to Brooklands…but instead washed and polished the wife’s golf…🙄

Gave her a quick rinse, updated the sat nav and software, gave the seats etc. a good once over with Dr Leather…
And then got the weekly shop in the boot :D

Oh and filled the tank with v-power… a handy voucher prevented it from being £80 :x

Yeah, was told that by one of the curators in the Cathedral. Will do that next time as we'll definitely be going back to Durham very soon. What a beautiful city. We parked in the Prince "something or other" car park. Big multistorey.

P. S. Durham Dave says he's never seen such a dry and clean roof motor come out of a Z4 before.... See pic of the housing.. Completely bone dry. Motor now sitting nicely in the boot. :D
