What have you done to your car today?

Part deux: removal of the central tunnel and upper section (which is an absolute pain)…

Will be running like this for a few weeks

Wow, people pulling apart dashboards, powder coating wheels, installing car play, painting stuff, installing air filter things. For me it was replacing the Salmon Red relays. Car turning 10 this month so finally got off my bum and replaced them. Equivalent of 27 pence short of £50, and that was the price across Sydney BMW dealerships. Clearly its a long way for these to come to Australia, so must get their own seats. Very simple job, so simple. Done.

Went over to Williams Crawford in Saltash for Cars and Coffee. Shed loads of awesome cars and a full belly. Did a Quick loop around Dartmoor on the way home. Great day.

Took it for a long overdue jet-wash to get the remains of the Sahara dust off then gave it a hand-wash at home ready for Ultimate BMW tomorrow.

Shonky 'phone photo -

Installed a Megan Racing Strut Brace. It really stiffened up the car.

I’m just going to drop this little sneak peek here. Got a whole week of work planned next week, so perfect timing 8)

Freshened up my e85 shocks and springs, top mounts etc...all was going fine until the knuckle bolt sheared off :headbang: ...three hours of careful drilling and thread cutting and all sorted. Car felt ok before but the rear shocks were completely done ...push damper rods in and they just stayed there !!
Drives so much better now

What have I done today?
Nothing!

All ready to refit the newly cleaned and recoloured fully electric seats into the matching newly cleaned interior of the project freeleeta.
Lifting the passenger seat from the summerhouse and the flippin' pup ran under my feet.
Ever tried holding one of those seats at arms length, balancing on one leg and not dropping it on a tiny puppy? Jeez they're heavy.
Resulted in me on my knees in the garden for ten minutes, followed by another ten minutes to make it back to the house. Now walking around with a stick wondering how I'm ever going to get my socks off!

Made some good progress with mine recently. Bought a vonhaus DA polisher. Clay bar followed by meguiars compound and polish. Ran out of time to wax and buff properly so just applied some of the cheat spray on stuff. Made an enormous difference to the car, it's a different league! Mind you, I'd always assumed machine polishing would be easy... I was done in by the end of the day!

Just fitted a Robbs Clutch Stop and been out for a blast. Its certainly helpful and sped up gear changes.

I feel for you. That’s happened to me more than once. :(

Spent a good chunk of yesterday removing my interiors and steering wheel to prepare for a carbon vinyl covering.
Then of course spent most of today applying said carbon vinyl, I think I did around 7hours and still have one door handle and some of the whee trims, I am so fed up with it, some of the parts are not easy to deal with

Hopefuly it'll be all back in the car tomorrow and I can update my build thread
