New wheels day. Took a bit of a gamble on these. Ended up waiting 5 weeks and they turn up and it's tipping it down outside. :headbang:

Couldn't wait, curiosity got the better of me. They sent M14 bolts instead of M12. Just to top everything off so using old ones until new arrive. I'm quite happy with them :-D :-D
Don't know if anyone else has commented on these - but I think they look fantastic! Great choice

Like a brand new car now :driving:

My new 70mm bonnet badge arrived today so planning on replacing mine at the weekend. Is it just a case of removing one of the kidney grilles, using a 10mm socket on the securing nuts then swapping the badges over? Ta.

Yes that's how I did mine, but the nuts are a bit fiddly to get on as they cut a thread onto the plastic posts on the new badge.

Cheers!!! Will get it done at the weekend.

I've put a tiniest bit of silicone under the new badge, probably not necessary, but it would hurt to loose such an expensive piece of plastic :D

Didn't have any silicone to hand so used a couple of small strips of thin 3M trim tape underneath the badge. The old nuts were tricky to remove but got them off eventually. Chuffed with the results, new badge and old badge below:-

Changed the belt, tensioner pulley and alternator clutch pulley, fairly easy once I’d worked out the right tools for the job, the parts were cheap from Autodoc and the tools I bought didn’t break the bank. Give or take it cost the same as an hours labour at an Indy and it took less than an hour to do with no drama :)

EDIT - Just wanted to point out that if you’re going to try this you need to make sure the sponge material is properly wet and don’t apply very much pressure at all. This stuff is abrasive and can ruin leather if you’re not very careful. :!:

I’ve had a PM asking about it, so thought it was worth clarifying

Started to clean it, 45 mins with a magic sponge, some water and a Microfibre…

Not perfect, but it’s a start :)

Gave it the first proper clean since we bought it and happy to say no hidden surprises!

Like the look of the wheels on this, what are they please?

Thanks, they're BMW Style 216.

I thought they were, but they look like 19’s… excellent, look good. Do you have spacers fitted?

Definitely look bigger than they are

Just 5mm on the rear. Got a little bit of rubbing from the fronts at first but it's also lowered. I really like them, I have some photos in my thread of them test fitted in silver too.
