What have you done to your car today?

Took out the air filter box, had some straw in it and bit dirty, so commandeered the kitchen sink and fairy liquid :D

Brake overhaul and upgrade to 300mm discs and carriers from the standard 286mm.

Zimmerman discs and Textar ePads for less dust as the brembos were awful.

Callipers had a full strip down and rebuild with casting marks removed then finished in matching grey.

A couple of days ago now, but fitted my newly refurbished style 107 ellipsoid wheels. My favourite standard wheel and were originally spec’d on my car but obviously sold along the way. I’ve placated my missus as I’m’putting the car back to original’ :D Purchased from a fella called Simon Ireland on facebook BMW Z4 UK owners club. Highly recommended, top bloke who refurbishes and sells BMW wheels as a hobby and is a Z4 owner himself.

What did you use on the scuttle mate, mines in a terrible state
Yeah mine really gone. I used some Raven, and a plastics cleaner, but I don’t think it will last, looks ok in the garage so far, we will see. 99F53568-7E0D-4EFC-BA18-CFEF40533828.jpeg

So next I might try two others GTECHNIQ-C4 is supposed to be superb, never tried it expensive but a lot of people swear by it on the web. Also I’ve heard that Pledge Revive It Floor Gloss on Amazon is supposed to work very well (sounds a bit mad, but again a lot of people use it apparently)

I used the GTechniq on mine a while back and it brought it right up. Still looks as good now.

Cheers I think that looks the right stuff to use next

Fitted the new cabin filter, the MAHLE one ok, but next time I would refit the Mann CUK2339 - far better quality when you compare side by side

Laid a new garage floor in heavy duty pvc black and grey tiles, chequerboard style... for the car to keep warm on

Even less exciting & a pita, left mine in the garage for yet another day. Unable to drive it due to indicator failure + other issues probably caused by faulty LCM :headbang:. Booked in for diagnostic tests but not until 5th May :(. I've bought another used LCM as backup.
