What have you done to your car today?

Cleaned the interior. I vacuumed the carpets, cleaned the leather and fed it with AG balm. Wiped down and cleaned the door cards and door sills. cleaned the steering wheel and dash. Then moved on to the engine bay. After 1711 miles, as you can imaging, it was filthy!! :D

Did that work ok?
Tried it on the seats on my 335d but they seem to be sealed with something and it had no effect at all, just sat on the top.

Yes, it worked in well and I’ll go over it today to buff it in a bit more. Didn’t notice any issues...

Maybe a different leather. I didn't specify any kind of coating on the seats, but the car came from a cancelled fleet order so maybe they'd been ordered with some kind of Scotchguard equivalent on them. The AG just sat on the top and stayed wet for ages, buffing just smeared it around?

Eww, how strange. Definitely sounds like it was coated with something then to behave that way.
Let’s hope I don’t go down to a gloopy, wet mess today then :D

Fitted Cruise control :D
Thank you to 2dogs for supplying the part and sk93 for the fitting instuctions.

If anybody needs the wring kit for doing this (I think its needed for post 2004 vehicles) give me a shout as I have one going spare

Parking sensors and heated seats next :)

Got started on a small upgrade to my 'business nav' spec stereo which isn't really up to the job with the roof down. I'm shamelessly borrowing from Z4C_er, Magicarcher and ph001's experiences so hoping to end up with something that works with minimum tweaking. Plan is to leave the small rear speakers in place and wired up, with all 4 amp channels run from the front speaker-level input then split between the 3-ways and subs (Reckhorn 165s) with high and low pass filters.

All the BMW leather is spray painted, it has a clearcoat on it. Balm will give the effect of making it look clean, but it will just sit on the top. After 18 months or so it will start to build up as shine along with the grease and dead skin that sticks to it.

I really would recommend not using a balm on anything put nappa pull up leathers.

My new thing is morning drives before sunrise. Cool morning temps. Sun not in my bloody eyes. And most of the idiot drivers fast asleep.
I leave here at 6 am for a 45 minute romp  I cover about 50-60 miles of back country mountain roads that puts a big smile on my old face. Get out of my way :driving:
