Not seen these before? Do you have an e85/e86? Is it OEM?

It's this part

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/pa..._M32&mg=41&sg=35&diagId=41_1705&q=51248187291

OEM on all Z4's I believe and most likely broken if it's on the original one's. The springs fall out the bottom. Replaced mine last week after noticing I was missing the rubber bump stops on the bonnet as well.

Removed the seats, reconditioned the leather, hoovered and shampooed the carpet while they were out, then reinstalled. Cheap fix that made a huge difference.

What did you do to get that great finish on the worn seat

Cut the second back box open a and removed the section of pipe not required

I have cut like this as the shape is easy to weld back up as when you cut it you loose 1mm of metal, you can recover this by bending the metal out a bit if needed

Removed the witches hair to be used again later.

Trued up the shape of the pipes to have the bends welded in

Need to order 2 more bends and then weld it all up.

I bought a cheap fix DIY job on eBay and took my chances. Very impressed with the results. Hope this helps

Will have to take a closer look at mine! Thank you :)

Fitted a Vicovation power management device in the glovebox, it's for a dashcam. It will monitor the car battery whilst the dashcam is in park mode. It can be programmed for switching off the dashcam at a set voltage, to save your car battery or can be set to a timer. It will also monitor the car interior temp and switch off the dashcam at a temp you set, a useful feature for dashcams without a super capacitor as battery cams can explode if they overheat.DSC_4018.JPG

Popped a sub and midrange on the DSP...... :headbang:

Seems an old system like this doesn’t appreciate UFO’s lights out live at silly volume anymore..... :(

Any reason why you fitted this instead of something else? Looking to get something like this with a camera for mine, just wondering specifically why you chose this? :)

Fitted a flashy light thingy to the central brake light. OK, a strobe flash module. One of these:

I know some here will hate them, some won't, but frankly I'm for anything that lessens the probability of some numpty not paying attention to the fact that I want to stop, and slamming me in the @rse (ooo-errr). Anyway, it was a cinch to fit; just do yourself a favour and learn from other peoples mistakes and take all the trim off the tailgate in the correct order (that is: upper header trim, side trims then lower main trim). Believe me it saves lots of time in the end.

Also discovered that the paint was being worn away by the side trims so I fitted a bit of felt to stop that in it's tracks.

Tyres swapped from my 108s to 107s and fitted. No spacers as God intended. Many thanks to True Blue for the 107s

Sounds like a fair idea.
Is it MOT legal?
I know the third brake light isn't actually required on all vehicles so I imagine these are not a problem.

Had the MV2’s from my new car put onto my previous Z, after having a new set of PS4’s fitted to the one that’s going for the new owner

Good question. I've seen plenty fitted, and the other day I saw a spanking new Morgan (new style with a 20 plate) with one. I assumed that's how it left the factory. I guess the answer is I don't really know for sure.
