What have you done to your car today?

Nothing as I am at the National Track Cycling Championships as a spanner monkey/rider helper

My uni friend is riding there today. Kallum Stewart.

Changing headlight bulb, hour job turned into 2.5hrs due to a dodgy igniter not wanting to go back on.

I think at £1500 you may be under what you can return from breaking these cars.
Yes a lot of hassle advertising, stripping & posting but as "synthedup" showed very recently there is demand & the ££ soon adds up.
Your bespoke roof alone should see a decebt return?

Quite possibly. I forgot to add the bilstein b4 shocks and eibach springs also. It was just a ballpark figure that makes me care less about fixing everything  I put the price of the roof down as 300 quid, but could possibly get more. Cost me over a grand

It will be extremely sad to break it for parts, but I feel that's the best way to get a decent amount of money back. Selling it as is will probably only bank me 700 quid maximum.

I don't think the missus would appreciate a torn down motor on the driveway though

Ben you thought about just keeping it as third car for sunny days? Sad to see these broken but the economics of it can't be denied. You just have to look at what some M Sport seats are up for on here at the moment, or the aero skirts sold for recently. Remember if you do break it I want first dibs on the roof.

I have, but can't justify the cost of repairs to keep it running. I just won't use it. Its a shame because I love the car, but I can't keep throwing money at it anymore  I'll keep you at the top of the list for the roof

Sorry your going to break it, you must be gutted!. if you do, can I have first dibs on the clear rear lights, the clear headlights ( if they're halogens) "& the mfsw please?

Took her for MOT and she passed with flying colours :D thats 14 on the trot every one passed from new :D :D

Well done old girl

Fitted my titanium coated storm knobber . What a delight 👍

Whole lot of alcantara parts to come to finish the interior off , including trying to fabricate some sort of built in mount for my airlift 3p controller .

Just purchased a pair of 12mm Bimecc spacers in black including locking bolts. Going to try them on the rear first , if I feel it's not quite enough then I'll pop them on the front and get 15mm for the back. I'd prefer to leave the front as it is but we'll see. :driving:

Stowed wind deflector in the boot. It's been sitting behind drivers seat since I put winter hardtop on. I only found out the use of the boot lid brackets through this forum.👍🏻20200128_162159.jpg
