What have you done to your car today?

So mine must have been the original one..
Impressive stuff; car built in 2007 - battery changed in mid 2017!!
The originals do seem to last well, mine was 11 years old when I had to change it

If it's a Bosch branded battery, it won't be the original. The originals were white with BMW branding on them, as far as I'm aware.

When I first replaced my battery, it was BMW branded and had a 2003 date on (year of manufacture for my Z4), so that lasted a good 10 years before I replaced it. It was actually still working fine, but I didn't want to take the risk

My wife has just got a new car - still has the original Kia battery from 2006!

A lot of the longevity it will be to do with conditioning. The main benefit of the more expensive Bosch batteries - a longer warranty - is only available to you if you look after them.

Having said that, car batteries seem to be a lot more resilient than they used to be. Shame they aren’t getting much lighter!

Made use of an early finish at work and finally got my spoiler on. The weave matches up well with the skirt extensions too :D . Excuse the dodgy phone pics

Looks good, what spoiler is that?

Spent Sunday fitting Bilstein B4's and a Whiteline rear ARB......next job is bilstein and whiteline for the front, that'll be in a couple of weeks.
Fitting the rear arb is also a complete pain in the rear and not a job I would relish again.

I also fitted AKG Motorsport rear shock tower reinforcement plates. Nice plates, stainless steel + 4.5mm thick! Plated to stop galvanic corrosion as well. I got them from automac.co.uk just £24 delivered.DSC_0528.JPGDSC_0532.JPGDSC_0530.JPG

 It’s made by Skyer, It was a group buy on one of the American based forums a few years ago. I think it was Beedubs first and then it eventually found its way to me.

Just need my mirrors skinned now

Replaced the spark plugs. 94K miles on the engine, if I would have to guess I'd say it was on its original plugs. I don't believe the engine cover had ever been off. Put in original expensive BMW plugs (made by Bosch) figuring I save plenty by doing the maintenance myself. I used a $7 or so special thin wall socket and a torque wrench. Test drive all was well.

Hi Davz

I’ve got the same ARB to fit but it came with no bolts. What bolts did you use in the end?

Oh my 8) that's driveway porn right there!

Bit of an odd request, but are you able to measure the outside width of your garage, brick to brick? I have land on the side of my house and need something bigger than 2 rickety old sheds to put my man stuff. I stupidly didn't measure my old garage before moving, so wondered whether something like you have would fit in this space?
