What have you done to your car today?

Fixed my first car tire flat yesterday. Heard a noise coming from the right rear. Found we picked up a quarter inch dia bolt in the tire. Didn't leak air yet. Luckily the previous owner had left a new tire patch kit in the trunk. Followed the Youtube instructions (thanks Chris Fix) and lo and behold it seems to have worked perfectly; pressure still good after more driving and sitting overnight. I did look at some prices for our aftermarket Avant Garde 510 wheels: 265/30 19 and was surprised to see good options at low-ish ($150 per tire) options. Let's see if this patch is a permanent fix tho as there's still about 50% life remaining in them.
I also cleaned the interior with Chemical Brothers cleaner and boy did it work!

I’d suggest you take it to a proper repair place to have it plugged & checked, most of those DIY kits are there to get you home.....

Washed and waxed it. Fitted cup holders and changed a headlight bulb that blew the other night, then put a few miles on it.

Well it's 3 years to the day since I got it, so to celebrate I had a "spirited" early drive to a monthly classic car meet and met up with some other forum members.

But I wasn't parked next to a classic!

Enjoyed another trip accross Dartmoor to Bone hill rocks for a spot of climbing. 2 miles of fresh stone chips had my heart in my mouth, with my freshly sprayed Bumpers. :o Found a different route back.

Ben g- looking great as always!

Thankyou  I keep looking at the new front wings wondering if they're dented, but maybe I'm just trying picking fault in them, that's what I always do

It certainly looks a lot more presentable now.

Next plan is to figure out how to change the battery. I tried to take the old one out yesterday but I couldn't undo the screws holding the black bracket down. It appears someone has butchered the heads, causing me a lot of grief :headbang:

I know, but the yellow in the background on the left is a Dolomite Sprint!

Because the Sport models have a black headlining I wanted any interior other than black - got lucky and found one with Pearl Grey. :)

I drove Zeddie. Twice today! I love a topless blast in country roads on a sunny day!
I love the way it feels now after last weekend I replaced gearbox and differential oils and also removed the CDV, which made a small but noticeable difference. Once I got home I refitted the original, illuminated gear knob.

Now that 2nd gear engages much easier I don't need the extra weight of my modified knob. I also fitted a proper light in the boot. I had a pair of DRLs hanging around from an old project that never happened. Now I can see what's in the boot!!

also fitted brighter, one-sided led light bulbs in the footwells. I highly recommend them, although they need a little filing before they fit.

Replaced the battery. Hopefully no more random battery lights on the dash

Note to others: S4 007 is not the correct battery for the Z4 3.0i, despite eurocarparts saying otherwise.

Sanded out the scratches my daughter left on the bonnet after placing the laundry basket on it, then machine polished it with 3 different compounds. Scratches now gone.

Had a ride out in it - first time this year!
I was lucky enough to have a bird strike and it’s dislodged the lower grill from its clips

Been out twice today but only shortish runs. Was thinking about selling but It just looks so good with the roof down.

The car had Bosch 74AH – A(EN) 680 S4008 battery fitted when I bought it.

The 008 is the correct one  I asked Costco to confirm what battery I needed and the S4 008 was what came up on the system.

Costco only sell the S4's (4 year warranty). I wanted the 5 year warranty one, so paid a few more quid and purchased from an online company
