All fixed now thankfully just needed locked back into place!Looks great, especially with the wood dash.jack07 said:Resprayed steering wheel spoke covers as they had the typical wear showing through.
My threepenneth is that they can be removed without taking off the hornpush/airbag.Take a torx20 to the screws behind the spokes, then wiggle the covers up and out from behind the hornpush.
I have used Tamiya acrylic thinner, matt black and several coats of matt clear thinned to give a strong scratch resistant coating.
The modellers on here will get this, and it is likely to last for yearsIMG_20180405_174718.jpgvIMG_20180405_174718.jpgf

omg Jamie if you had any luck it would be bad sounds like a mr bean film oh well as they say things can only get better (you can hope) on a brighter note car looks welljamie_z4 said:today i woke up n it was a lovely day, thought great, i'll take the Z4 out.
Got in it, went to put roof down - red light of doom... great.
Got to the first junction - no clicking from indicators or dash lights for the indicators... also wonderful
get on the M6... this isnt right shaking violently from steering and rear end .. .feels like all 4 of my newly refurbed 108s are buckled!!
gets to Mikes unit in wigan, started undoing split rim bolts.... car fell off the jack and snapped the tyre valve off deflating the tyre
wheels have been powdercoated as well as all mating faces (which i asked him not to do) so ground off all the paint on the mating faces to get the rims to sit togeother flush
get in car to go home... dash lit up like a christmas tree, ABS traction control handbrake and RFT light on... also no speedo , i must have damaged the wire when it fell off the jack.
All in all, not a great day
looking good, south hams, went to school in Kingsbridge. still go to totnes regularly, lovely area.Z4 Gaz said:Yesterday i finally got my wheels fitted, about 6 months after buying them. Refurbed myself(never again) and shod in MPS4 all round.
My Eibach springs also arrived at 4 in the afternoon, so fitted them and the spacers i had waiting to go on too.
By the time i finished it was dark so i left it in the garage.
Today i got it out for a good clean and have just driven it into town. Seems much more compliant now without RFL, despite the increase in wheel size. Hardly follows the road camber now either.
