Was going to pick up your 325 alloys today, but because of the weather its not happening :( Thanks for the phone call Sal

Cried a lot today

Car failed its MOT for the first time ever. 2 new front arms and 2 rear bushes (can't remember which) to be replaced, excessive play.

I was already booked in for 2 track rods as they were siezed and a hand brake adjustment. 2 new mitchelins yesterday.

Nearly £1000 lighter, cars only done 50k.

A place called RL Motors just down the road from me in Plymouth. Owner is a ex BMW tech but he's a friend of my friend. They do good work, you can trust them and they have a good setup, not the cheapest but not main dealer prices.

Hope you get sorted

Cheers pal me too!

Have you managed to sort this yet mate?

It sounds like a nightmare!

PS, hoping to come up your way around the 23rd to get one of Mikes awesome keys :) we can grab a pint.

No mate not yet. Apparently he's been released now and is on his way home. Sounds like bullshit to me but we'll see.

Sounds good mate can grab some pics too :driving:

Rang up the insurance to let them know I'm running non-rft's after reading a couple of posts on here just to be sure. Also had them update the policy so I could leave the Zed on the drive overnight rather than in the garage (sometimes it's just a pain shuffling 3 cars about!) Anyway they made a note about the tyres & did the update with no charge or admin fee. I'm well happy with that  .

The car has been in hibernation and on a maintenance battery charger - I just nipped into the garage to check the Voltage across the under bonnet pins and was happy at 13.2 volts.

Good one, unusual for them not to at least slap an "admin" fee on!

Surprised me too Mike...maybe because I'm an old git  .

Finally after weeks of the warning light coming on then going off on the dash showing faulty bulb Its been traced to the side light bulb so renewed and now hopefully it's fixed.

Just fitted my new brembo breaks, only issue was my cheap 16mm socket that split open when I was trying to get the caliper bracket off.

Just got to bed them in now.

I fitted new Brembo discs and pads all round on mine a few weeks ago. All bedded in now and much, much better than the MTEC/EBC Red Stuff I was running before !

Replaced my front left caliper as it was sticking. Surprised how corroded it was so now plan to replace all corners. I’m sure the Scottish salty roads have done my car no favours!

In preparation for a twin exhaust conversion for the E86 i picked up a spare Si bumper from bodyshop after having a second exhaust outlet formed & the whole thing painted :) its come out a top job , very happy indeed
