What have you done to your car today?

Gave my senior-sergeant policeman friend a drive of the 35i on some quiet country roads :)
He was very impressed with the smooth torquey engine and the way it winds out so effortlessly through the gears. He couldn't wipe the silly grin off his face and now understands how addictive that acceleration can be.
Unfortunately there was no offer of immunity from future traffic violations

Fitted new Meyle Expansion Tank after the original '03 one decided to crack and dumped all the coolant out whilst my Mrs was driving home last week :x . Fortunately she was only half a mile from home. Anyway, the Meyle one is a quality item and went on with no problems. Refilled system with Comma Xstream G48, bled it, took it for a run, let it cool and checked the level. Bang on...sorted ! Happy again. :D I was on a roll then and decided it deserved a bit more TLC so got carried away with a couple of hours of quality detailing time. All is well.

From BMW they are £87 ish, I replaced mine a few days ago after the "premium" pattern one started leaking after less than a year.

Got one out for delivery to me now, £31+vat from Euro for a Meyle one :)

Took mine to Munich Legends today for an MOT. Passed with no advisories as well :D :driving:

I asked them to adjust the passenger side window as there is a small air leak over 50mph. Need a new seal for that though.

Treated it to a blast over the Ashdown forest after that:

Picked mind up earlier, and it's a genuine Hella, so happy with that.

Cheers marlon :)

Yours is looking good too, especially on the 224's

Got her ready for sale, been at it most of the day. Fitted centre caps to the newly refurbished wheels, proper clean all over and inside and then moisturised the seats. Got all the fluff off the roof too....

She now looks a million dollars.

Does look lovely...always fills me with doubts about selling cars when you take the time to clean them up properly! :|

Unfortunately her replacement is sat next to her... :?

If I didn't have two kids, the missus would want her but with two seats we can't possibly keep her. Neither of the kids would go in the boot, even for a fiver.... :D

£5... just keep adding £1s until one agrees :)

Have you thought about strapping one of them to a boot baggage rack?

At 10 & 14, they are not getting any smaller either.... :D

Drove it for a good few hours on the motorway with a straight pipe and honestly I'm struggling to see where all the moaning about drone comes from.. :)

I had a muffler delete and also couldn't really understand the negativity towards it on here. Obviously it's louder but it's a nice tone too.

I think a lot of the drone complaints are from the pre facelift cars with slightly different exhaust systems?

Finished re-locating my newly resurrected roof motor (cheers again Ducklakeview) and pump into the boot.

Nice to have the powered roof working again! :driving:
