What have you done to your car today?

Now the old girl is 20 and I am almost driving her daily I have spent most of the weekend cleaning, detailing and protecting the whole car in preparation for the coming winter. Popped the hardtop back on today and finished with a coat of Soft99 Fusso Coat. I have a set of Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 going on next week, the first I've had on the Z4; so I'm interested to see how it drives and handles on them and how they fare over the winter :)

Replaced the faulty 3rd brake light on my coupe
Downside is it's not tinted anymore...need to try and remedy that

Left my coupe with an auto electrician as I felt as if the battery was slowly draining.
They ran numerous tests and said everything is okay. My battery monitor I use must be dodgy.
They did comment that the new battery I installed back earlier in the year was a very good one.
Pick the car up tomorrow morning.

SORN’d it.

Haven’t bothered with any of my other Z4’s, but this one can relax now until spring

Taxed the Z4 for 1st December after having it on Sorn whilst on Holiday for two months. The Z3 remains on Sorn for the Winter.

New lower control arms fitted with powerflex bushes. Felt sharper on the way home already, with the annoying vibration at speed now gone :driving:

Small thing really but I got BMW Scanner 1.4 installed on my Win10 laptop and got it all working. I have now set it to get my indicators to flash when locking the car as somewhere in it's previous life this was coded out and they only flashed when it was unlocked and I could only tell if I'd locked the car by listening/watching for the locks to go down. Not any more. Seems like the software has a lot of functionality and a real bargain.

Now all I got to do is learn the software properly. Been reading up a fair bit already and have scanned and cleared codes...and know not to mess with anything I don't understand!! :D

It's good kit that isn't it.
Seems to do all the stuff you need.
Have you found the check boxes in the light control module that allow you to code out bulb checks if LEDs are fitted?
I also had an issue wherer one touch up didn't work on the left window. Sorted that.
Oh and can get the roof to go both up and down by holding the key fob buttons.

Nice. My roof already went down on the key but would be good to get it to go up too! I don't run LED's but was thinking about it so that's a handy tip - thanks. I had an issue in the past with the windows like you but sorted it using the in car method of holding the buttons up for 10 seconds, down 10 seconds etcetc but now I have the software I'm looking forward to being able to do more.
