What have you done to your car today?

Took off a side-skirt on my 2003, it was damaged in a car park. Quite easy to do, there was no rust but I removed the plastic bung holes and squirted Dinitrol ML in the sill cavity

Finally got her back on the road and tested after weeks on jackstands and refreshing the rear suspension and brakes! After the first few hundred meters confirming nothing was way out of place, I already had a smile on my face. No error codes, no noises, though noises are transmitted differently from the rear now with the poly bushes but no squeeks or bad noises. Brakes feel great with the braided stainless lines, I confirm the 1 piece Wezmoto lines work well at the rear :thumbsup:

Sadly I had to go with the new 18" rear wheels and PS5 but keep the old 19" wheels at the front as I had the joy of discovering one of the front wheels I bought is a totally wrong PCD... I guess this is what you get when being desperate on Marketplace... I now have to investigate for a solution... :|

Picked up this badboy! Already have the Bastuck backbox, this is the matching midsection -sans silencers- to go with it. The BMWZ4-C1P, to be precise. Second hand from a fellow German Z’er who found out this particular pipe isn’t TÜV approved…

Not bad for a four pot Cleaned and put away until the next dry salt free day
 
Repaired the mounting screw tabs on my radio. Cut some aluminum L brackets and attached them to the faceplate with some aviation structural adhesive. Radio is no longer loose!

Today I cleared out my to-do list. I replaced the passenger side fog light. The previous owner had some damage and the light was missing and the wiring was stripper. I also replaced the wiper/washer motor after some fault tracing. Finally, I replaced the hazard/door lock console switch. The plastic base had broke so the door lock button stopped working. Just gotta wash it before the next road trip.

I’m with you Tom… want to play but nothing really to do… checked the battery was still taking its medication-charge, kicked the tyres and closed the garage again.

Do need to wash the Mercedes tho (not as exciting)

Have a long term plan to clear my garage so I can get the Z4 inside but it's not a small job. And it means I'll need to sell a set of freshly refurbed 108s but unless it's a local pick up, it's a total pain.
