Split different grills.

good to know.

I have a full chrome one and i ordered an all black one. I may do the same if I don't like the look of all black. All chrome looks very dated now.

The Z4M kidneys are chrome surround and black slats as standard. Easier to order a set of them and sell the others if you want to go chrome and black route no?
The 2.2i and 2.5i also had black slats/chrome surround. Only the 3 litre cars had silver slats

Bit of a refresh on the front end of the car,

Installed new front discs, pads, calipers and brake hoses, control arms and bushes, drop links, anti roll bar bushes, inner and outer tie rods.

Rear tomorrow!

Just a wash and polish at home.

Lovely colour combo😍

You can always re-colour leather. Not that hard too with furniture clinic stuff if you fancy a cheap option of DIY. It can't be dyed but painted a new colour then sealed

Not very interesting I’m afraid.
Changed the left front wheel speed / ABS sensor.
First drive of the year a few weeks ago and once over walking speed I was presented with multiple yellow warning lights. Checked the codes and ordered a new sensor from BMW. Fitted it Saturday and tested Sunday.
First broken/failed part in four years of ownership so can’t really complain.

Can I ask what were the lights? BRAKE, ABS and DTC? I had the same problem a few years ago and BMW down here told me it was the DSC module, easily replaced for $4,000. I replaced it with an used one, but that was still $700. And ever since I came to this forum, I have the feeling I was robbed.

Hello

Unfortunately I didn’t take a picture of the warning lights. I think it was tyre pressure, ABS and DTC, all in yellow, never red. When I connected the code reader I had error β€œ5D93 wheel-speed sensor, plausibility, front left”.

Replaced the cigarette lighter with a dual USB charger. Easy enough to do, remove centre trim panel, undo wiring then remove lighter and wiring. The existing hole needed enlarging slightly by means of a sharp craft knife, then the dual charger fitted in. Connect the black and red wires up (had to cut the existing round metal connectors that came fitted to the USB charger wiring then fit and crimp slim bullet connectors in order for it to then fit into the car wiring loom connector).

The cigarette lighter as we know is permanently 'live' and powered all the time so anything you leave plugged into it could potentially drain your battery to a degree. This particular USB adapter has a small on/off switch which allows you to keep items connected but then switch on and off at your will - it illuminates in blue LED to show its powered. Perfect.........works a treat.

is there a reason why you didn't go for a plug and play solution like this?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Charger-Adapter-Cigarette-Lighter-Compatible/dp/B08KDRBCGZ/ref=sr_1_4?crid=17SQTWSX26HJR&keywords=dual+usb+cigarette+lighter&qid=1655300452&sprefix=dual+usb+cigarette+lighter%2Caps%2C58&sr=8-4

I have had my eye on this one as my phone charges at 30W these days and I have a surface laptop that can take 45W so could trickle charge on it also.

That is neat. And so simple. Wifey has a plug in one, but you can't close the lid with it in place and it just looks untidy when you leave the car unless you pull it out and shut the lid.
