What have you done to your car today?

[ref]Jl-c[/ref], any amount of additional offset will worsen the Z4's chassis inherit tramlining tendencies, be it through adding spacers or fitting staggered wheels. I know they improve the looks, but in the case of the e85 and e86 it will be at the cost of worsening tramlining.
Also, what tyre pressures are you running front and rear? I found that in a car with excessive rubber like the Z4, anything above 2.3 bar (36psi) will affect comfort, traction, handling and tramlining.
My experience anyway.

[ref]fredej[/ref], try lowering the rear pressure to 2.3 bar or lower. Im using 2.1 at the rears and the car feels more supple, comfortable and far less twitchy over broker tarmac, with better traction flat out and more 'talkative' round corners.

Would there be any difference if the tyres were a square or staggered set? I have the staggered set of 18”s on my coupé and am struggling to get a decent ride. Michelins non RFT and M suspension. Suspect I may have to ditch M suspension but trying for the cheaper options first :D

I also have staggered setup on my coupé. Here's what the owner's manual states about tire pressures for the coupé with the different stock wheel setups.

2.1 bar at the rear is quite a bit lower than the recommended from the manufacture.

I will play around a little with different tire pressures before I consider changing the suspension.

I run the M tyre pressures on mine (remember the M has non runflats from the factory) of F30 R32. I found these to massive improvement over the standard 3.0 pressures listed when I moved to non run flats

Looks like a quality job, did they recommend a particular cleaner/treatment for them? :?

Baby wipes

They are £750, fitted. A bargain for the quality... the nearest other quote was £1200 for inferior quality ... :o

I’ve left my old seats there for now, so if anyone wants anything doing, just roll up, put my old seats in your car and leave yours there... you won’t be without a car. It only took 3 days, plus a week to order the leather as it was a special order... they are thicker, more padded and what they should have been from the factory...I’m chuffed to bits. Just the door cards to do now..

Before and after..

A few months back I put Eibachs back on my car after trialling SE springs since last year and not liking them.
Today I took things one step further, so going from this with SE springs
ELLIPSOIDS ON SE SPRINGS M SPEC TYRES 4.jpg
SE SPEC FRONT AND REAR 5.jpg

to this, Eibachs and new wheels

First full valet for my new coupe today. So pleased how it’s scrubbed up.
The blue leather was so dirty it looked black, a leather foam cleaner and a feeder have soon sorted them out.
Paint work has also cleaned up better than expected. I’m a happy man.

Absolutely love that leather colour - so cool and so hard to find. Very nice!

Thanks Si,

They're 18" Zito 935's. Fronts are 8.5 et 35 and the rears 9.5 et 40.
I've always loved them on a Silver Zed since I saw them on an old forum members car in these two threads

I just need to get some domed BMW stickers/badges for the centre caps and some nice wheel bolt covers.

Thanks Mack. They do look the business

After a very disappointing morning, I thought I would focus on cleaning the Zeds in my household, especially the E85 that was utterly filthy. Very satisfied to see both Zs looking their best!
