What are the Positives of COVID-19 for you?

In a way I have more time for my work and to develop some skills.
I can't gig but I can work on the promo.
Here's my Sextet and some footage from the Z4's dashcam.
Keep well.

Quieter roads for those essential journeys, cycling and horse riding
Which means less polution and noise, which means more birdsong
No football which means certain friends have to find something else to talk about
There is more of a community spirit in the village - e.g. I've just hung some decorations, and put a teddy bear in the window for the kids on their govt-sanctioned-once-a-day
My misanthropic personality is now okay, and telling people to get the f**k away from me is now socially responsible, not rude
My wife cant organise social events, which means I don't have to spend days complaining about having to go
Social distancing in supermarkets means not having to rub shoulders with Capt. Halitosis who hasn't had their annual bath yet

Many many things to be positive about there stuart

An A&E colleague reminded me of one more positive of covid-19; it appears that A&E numbers have dropped significantly and, to use her words, "proves that they can stick their own bloody plasters on".

Now I've done all the local RoW on foot. I'm heading out further towards the moors, still on foot and walking lanes and RoW that I would never have walked my entire life in normal circumstances. It's so nice to be able to walk them and simply listen to the natural sounds of the countryside. Once this thing is beat, the air will once more be full of the noise of modern life. We will likely never have a chance to enjoy such piece and quite again. So if you can get out safely, then I would say put on your walking shoes and make the most of it. Oh and leave the Walkman at home too. :D

Rights of Way

What he said. Public footpaths across private land. :)

In England and Wales there are estimated to be 140,000 miles (225,000km) of public rights of way, consisting mainly of footpaths, but including bridleways and other types of byways.

The figure for Scotland is estimated to be 9,300 miles (15,000km) As scotland has far better access laws so does not need so many.

Now get out there and enjoy them in peace while you can, if you can.
