There're a lot of roadsters out there Taz, you must be pissed off a lot :exitright:

for me number 1 is; people who keep dabbing their breaks, particularly on the motorway

Inconsiderate selfish drivers. Tailgaters. Not indicating - especially those you are stopped behind in the outside lane at a traffic lit junction for going straight on, or turning right. Why do i see so many who dont indicate until the lights turn to green! :headbang:

Drivers sat in the outside lane of a dual carriageway you want to overtake!

Idiots blasting through 30 limits at silly speed an hour.

You pull out accelerating away quickly at a junction with enough gap between yourself and the the vehicle you pulled out in front of, and they speed up to tailgate you to show their disapproval.

Get in the correct lane then, if there is room for them to undertake, you should have been there, instead of holding up the faster traffic :poke:
middle lane owners club member!! :P

I have two absolute pet hates, above is the first... a motorway has one lane and two overtaking lanes, whilst it is impractical to always be in the inside lane I will move over if there is a decent space say 50 metres. There are just so many drivers who stay in the middle lane whilst there is nothing on the inside lane....why!!!!!

If I am on the inside lane and a car in the middle lane is moving slower than me I will undertake them if it is safe to do so (clear hard shoulder) and contrary to popular belief it is not necessarily illegal to do so, weaving in and out is.

My second, whilst on the inside lane of a motorway, if I catch the vehicle directly in front up, indicate to overtake and the car just behind in the middle lane will sit there neither speeding up nor slowing down or worse not move into the third lane when it's clear and let me out :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

It is just in case they come up to something in the nearside lane and it saves having to wake up too often to overtake :driving:

Just to chime in on the motorway issue... most of the motorways I drive on (M62 and M1 mainly) the slow lane is in such bad condition from the lorries that it has two "trenches" you have to drive along, to the extent it is very uncomfortable and quite unnerving.

I tend to hand out in the BMW lane mostly, not going to comment on speed but lets just say I don't tend to hold up many people.

As I recall, if you have an e85/86 with 18" rft then driving in the inside lane on a motorway with lorry grooves is pretty much like driving on a freshly ploughed field due to tram lining, so perhaps you may be forgiven and the fact your sp3ctre.

However now that I have an e89 with 17" rft tram lining is a distant nightmare.

Not me!!! I am usually doing - erm - a bit over 70mph on a motorway. It's when I get stuck behind a outside lane crawler and get a moron fly down the inside and around. No excuses for that sort of driving IMO.

Oh, and add incorrect lane usage to my list lol.

Ah lane discipline... Don't get me started, it isn't just on the motorways either. Take a roundabout (two lanes) on a dual carriageway and almost certainly be cut up by the twat in the outside lane coming across.

God, how nice that must be!! The runflats seem to bed in over time but when i replaced the rear tyres on mine the drive was once again like trying to tame a wild horse!! Anyone behind me must have thought i was either nissed as a pewt or trying to play Frogger with my car

A lot of it is to do with the wide tyres. I replaced my run flat's after a week of owning the car and it still tramlines on the motorway, albeit not as bad as with the run flats on.

Yep wide low profiles not great in that respect but i guess i'd be a lot unhappier if the car didn't have that much rubber to keep her on the road. Looking at cars like the old auto unions at Goodwood makes you think about how great drivers like fangio, Moss, Clark et al were to drive like they did with so little to keep them on the road, the speed some of those cars got up to and without the trickery of modern engineering OMG :o :) :driving:

Like everyone else I absolutely hate the drivers which stick to the outside/ middle lane on the motorway when the inside lane is clear. If they are on the BMW lane and slowing me i will flash them to move (which some drivers get really upset about  ).... and give them ample time to notice, before tailgating and then finally undertaking.

Had the best example of what annoys me this morning on the A31 to Guildford. Outside lane with maybe 15-20 cars sat in it doing 50, nobody whatsoever in the inside lane so I cruise past at speed limit but feel dodgy for undertaking. We all reach the A3 slip lane exit and I move into the outside lane, they all move into the inside lane to exit. Crazy!

People who brake and drive past speed cameras at 15mph shitting themselves even though it's a 30 zone.

People who drive slower than the speed limit.

People who think they can park next to me.

People who are up my ass when they can clearly see i'm driving well over the speed limit anyway.

People who don't know how to put their car in a lower gear when going up a hill and end up doing 15mph.

People who stop 3 miles from a junction/traffic lights.

People driving in the BMW lane on the motorway when they're not in a BMW.

Learner drivers.

People carriers.
