Only got my Z4M in February but a combination of factors (starting a family/insurance renewal/appreciation) are leading me to think that its as good a time as any to sell.

Its been a totally brilliant experience, I never thought I'd own a car like the Z4M it really was a dream car I admired from afar before the epic tumble in values last year brought it into my pricerange. I've certainly made the most of it having done a trackday at cadwell park, a drift day at Oulton and have just recently done a 2000 mile Euro road trip including 4 nurburgring laps. Other than a leaking wiper fluid bottle (outstanding from previous owner) I've had no problems whatsoever in the 6k+ miles we've had it.

Trying to find what we are going to replace it with is a total nightmare. Its by far the best all round car I've ever owned but at the moment I'm thinking of getting another VX220 for the weekend and something reasonably sensible for the Mrs. Nothings set in stone yet but its looking like the beginning of the end of my ownership of the Z4M and boy am I going to miss it.....

Few pics for old times sake:

We've had such a brilliant time with this car and with the road trip have memories we'll treasure forever. Despite the appearance the pics give the car has actually had a quite easy life with us as the Mrs just uses it in the week to trundle 4 miles to work and back. As superb as its been the pull of another VX/track car is too much for me to bear!

Thanks to the people that have taken time to offer advice and also the folks that take time to put guides on the forum. I've added cup holders and an AUX in following the guides on here. The CSL wheels were a recent addition that just finish the car off too. Totally gutted to be even thinking of selling but the head is ruling the heart on this one!

Pity you don`t just keep it, short term M ownership is often frowned upon by potential purchasers although in your case of course you`ll probably make a few bob or at least have close to 5 months free motoring so if you fancy something else it`s definately the right time to do it.

I`m the other way round, taking ages to find a car (at right price etc) but if I do find one I`ll probably keep for a very long time.

Yeah I would like to keep it as it's just perfect now but the requirement for 4 seats is going to be on us soon enough that combined with the time of year just makes timng ideal. There's no issues with the car at all. Also have 1200 quids worth of warranty going with it too!

M3 wheels might be available but I haven't ruled out getting an m3 so might hang onto them.

I wont lie I'm going to be looking for top money for it. £21995 with inspection 1 done at BMW prior to pickup (currently has 3k/till october) CSL wheels & tyres are brand new and it has a proper warranty not just a 300 quid one that wont pay out its an actual £1200 worth. Starts in August for one year.

Oh and its got cupholders ;). Mileage is 18.5k

Warrantywise the covername is "total" no exclusions at all (apart from clutch, brakepads etc) if you go to the warrantywisesite and tick everything that's the policy. Not to be confused with the low end stuff a car dealer might supply.

That does seem top money to me tbh. I was estimating what mine might be worth today (56 Coupe, 9.5k miles) and I was thinking along the lines of £23k. Hope you get what you want for it though, they are great cars, worth every penny, and yours looks a top example

I think your a couple of grand too low on your estimate m8!

Base price looks to be 20k but you can bet ones at that price need a service and tyres. Mine with brand new csl's and fresh service + proper warranty isn't that much of a premium when you break it down.

Thats the 3rd enquiry! I dont have the OE wheels so the CSL's will be staying with the car :)

I'm sure you could do a part-exchange for some original wheels + cash

hmm not really worth it TBH. The swap cost me £200 in cash and I think they will add more than that in terms off appeal to a prospective buyer. Now if someone came along with £800 and a crate of carling premier I'd be inerested lol

I sold mine for £1000 plus a set of genuine Z4MC wheels - don't know if CSLs will add £1000 to the price of a used car - would like to think so, and I'd also like to think you should be asking more than what you are.

Shame to hear you are thinking of selling it mate although I know you always had it planned.

mmm-five - they are replicas iirc
