Is this sad?

Went away for a long weekend with the gaffer (girlfriend), fri - mon. We went to a nice lodge with hot tub up in Yorkshire dales. Went in her golf as its a company car and wouldn't cost us fuel.

Anyway, once off the motorway and onto the A roads I started thinking "wish we had bought the Z" and then all weekend on little trips out I kept thinking the same, and didn't help passing plenty of Zeds, too many for the spotted section, all with the roofs down which made it worse.

On the route home today we stopped by my parents to pick up the Z. Which by the way I had left there for them to keep an eye on. And then to top it off I made up some excuse to pop out for a drive after only being at home for a few hours.

And all this doesn't include all the mods I have done in my first two months of ownership. That's to follow in a project thread with pics.

The point I'm making is this is by far my favourite car I've owned, was my EP3 Type R until now.

Is it the same for everyone else? Favourite car you have ever owned?

ps. my current 'other' car is an ep3 final edition, such a good utility car, I'd probably have to say i think the ep3 has the best gear shift action on any car I've driven so far

I loved my EP3 as well. It's sad to see so many fall into the wrong chavvy hands these days.

I always find when I'm with my 'gaffer' (aka wife) it'll be when she or I will be driving her Punto. This is always when I'll see other Z's, have someone behind us who needs to see some dust but can't because we're in the 1.4 Punto. Then when I'm in my MC, I'll never see another Z, get stuck in traffic, nothing exciting happens (obviously not including just the open road & the car there!). So yes, I see where you're coming from! I'm also gutted I missed out on Daz's imola aero skirts too as I haven't really modded mine yet, just got it all up to scratch. Ah well never mind.
