The (truly) best way to remove (ugly) airbag sticker...

I did the requisite sun visor "airbag sticker delete mod," but was never able to completely remove all evidence of its, uh, removal. No matter what I tried, the sticker's "ghost" was always there, haunting my subconscious. It was subtle to be sure and most folks likely wouldn't have noticed. But it practically screamed "I'M STILL HEEEEEERE" every time I glanced up or over.

So I broke down and sought out the real McCoy. It wasn't as easy as I thought, as many stateside places wouldn't order non-US spec visors.

But Andy at Pacificie.com totally stepped up to the plate and was able to get just the thing... a fresh pair of light grey Euro-spec visors never soiled by the stick of an airbag label.

Ahh... Just arrived... Clean and sticker-free from the start, just like the BMW gods intended.

I think the lighter colored visors are a bit more difficult to truly clean than the black. And it's the small things that can make a big difference, so to me it was worth every penny.

So thanks again to Andy and Pacificie.com! Great company. Great service.

All told, $165.00 ($75 per visor + 15 for shipping). Took about four weeks.

Yeah, there may be better mods to spend money on, but easy come, easy go. So if anybody wants a pair of pretty clean (but not perfectly clean) light grey visors, I've got a set.

That's some OCD-like attention I can relate to!!

It was an expensive mod, but when it comes to selling it, be sure to point it out as an example of how no expense has been spared maintaing the car to the impossible standard you set yourself, and the buyer can not fail to be impressed! He can only conclude that this is one cherished and well looked after car, and I wouldn't be suprised to see you make some of the $165 back even if it means the buyer can't haggle as much!

I was wondering if you had got something sorted. Thats some serious atention to detail. I'm just glad we don't have those stupid stickers here in the UK. it would be something that would annoy me to.

Ha ha... indeed to all. In fact, after installing clear reflectors and ordering the visors, I've concluded I should just move to Europe strictly for car shopping... then we'd also have piano black as an option (it didn't seem to be one for the Z4 for we Americans).

And now to that almost microscopic nick on the door handle... :lol:
