lol this is why i dont post in forums much...i hate wasting time on forum drama. but i'm being defamed so had to speak up. also, i like this forum and have dealt with a few very good characters like firebobby, for example.

That forum member has withdrawn their offer. Also, I offered to pay for them from the start FYI and sent a msg to him not long ago offering again to pay. He is well within us rights to not sell them to me as they are his property. No hard feelings. Him and Simon are mates.
Also. I’ve made many valid points showing that I’m in the right, none of which have really been challenged. Just ignored.

Would it not be possible for you to accept that offer and drop your claim?
That way, with maybe an apology or two, the forum can be seen to have pulled together, learned another valuable lesson about the disruptive power of words without context, and solved it's own problems.
I believe a good forum should be able to take on this kind of issue and resolve it in the best way it can.
Harsh words have been typed, but they're not insurmountable surely?
Please? For the good of the forum as a whole?
75 years ago today, thousands of very young men ran up a beach into a hail of fire to defend the rights of us all to type whatever we like.
Why not drop this now, with an amicable truce, to send a thank you to all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for us.

mr wilks said:My words were not presumptuous at all , you can write all the carefully constructed retorts you like but it comes down to a very simple basic issue that cannot even be debated .
You bought 2 items off a advert both clearly shown in a photograph , anything else that you assume should have been included is irrelevant , simple as that , you then feel like you've been roasted at £25 a pair delivered & pull just about the sneakiest move ever with the PP demand
If there is anyone who views this thread & for a minute thinks you've been wronged then they clearly need a carer for more hours than they currently have them .
Suck it up & get over it , its £25 ffs

You paid £25, which I for PayPal fees on.
I paid postage which took the item to less then £20 profit for me. You claim £20 through PayPal meaning they are worth nothing. Yet you have said on a number of occasions in the thread that there worth £15 each without blanking plates?
So you still got a good deal.
This baffles me.
z4all said:I value the time I’ve spent on this as at least £100. Shall we now factor this into ur formula?

Sorry Marlon,
That’s me done.

Guys, guys, it seems I've started a mud slinging match here & that was not my intention. Let's sort this out shall we? Personally I think it was obvious the events came without the blanks, the photo in synthedup's ad makes this clear. Here is a suggested solution. Please feel free to accept or reject.
z4all, please retract your PayPal claim so synthedup is happy & I'll send you the blank plates to compliment your vents FOC.
I like a happy forum![]()
If you ask me Paul, it’s all Fred’s fault!MrPT said:I still can’t believe the firebobby thing.
z4all said:Mr wilks has made a claim that I was told the vents had no plates in a private message and apparently attached a photo. Simon has not denied this and Simon may have even made the claim, I don’t know where else this could have come from.
Waiting for proof of this and other claims that have been made against me

So if somebody buys your sports seats using paypal and then claims a full refund because they couldn't be bothered to look at the pictures and see a few marks or creases, you'd quite happily accept that would you ?z4all said:I value the time I’ve spent on this as at least £100.
