Watches

Hublot Bing Bang for my daily, gift from a friend, £30 from china. It actually does look identical from a couple of feet away and has fooled a few people

Damn this thread, making me spend money :)

Thw wife is looking to buy me a watch as an aniversary present but we are struggling to find something that I like, she claims I'm the worst person in the world to but for.
Problem is I'm not sure what I want we have a budget upto a max of £1000, and things I see that I like are usually at least double to ten times more
That is the kind of thing I normally go for

How about a nice TAG? Plenty in that price range.
Have looked at them just not quite what I'm looking for.

I did see one yesterday in Edinburgh, but the wife won't stretch to £24,950 can't see why not.

I really like Revue Thommen watches, partly because nobody has heard of them but they are splendid looking things. Same applies to Glycine, Combat Sub being my preferred, or an RT Classic Airspeed Chrono. Both look a bit like your photo.

Just took a look and I like the look of that Glycine Combat Sub. A watch maker with history too. Link to the watch here...

just had a quick at the jurawatches website stumbled across there before, I'm starting to think what I'm after is a skeleton watch (one where you can see all the workings) however if the good lady won't stretch to 24k I certainly don't think she'll go to the 250K they are after for one them :o . not sure I could bring myself to ever pay that for a watch even after I've won the lottery tonight. :D

Watches and Cars - my favourite subjects.

We drive fine well engineered cars so we want well engineered watches. No battery cars and no battery watches!

I have my Z4 and a Lotus Elan 1968 - And my watches are from Heuer, a company with a long history with motorsport. Enjoy them here http://www.heuerwatches.net

And a pictures of my jewels:
