Greg.

I have ones in mint condition (recently refurbed, some time last year by the previous owner) with 6mm of rubber on all 4 iirc from recent report (4/5/16) 3 days ago from inspection 2 at dealers.

I'm in Glasgow so not too far to drive from the North West to the real North :P

How much would you be willing to pay? Tyres alone would be worth £400ish as they aren't that old.

If you are prepared to pay good money for them I will post pics, they are mint.

no disrespect but a £400 valuation for a set of used tyres is pretty unrealistic

If he was buying them he would say they were only worth a £100 though.

brand new ones are 7mm, these are 6mm. I think you can work out from that how used they are. What would be a fair price for them? £300 used?

what is a fair price for mint recently refurbed 108's? I can see ones on ebay that need a refurb are asking for £400+.

add both together with a small discount what would you say is a realistic price?

No one with half a brain would pay £400 for a set of 108s needing refurb :o
Tyres usually start with 8mm , once used only high end names would bring top money & even then between half & 3 quarters new price would be the norm
Ballpark figure on a used but mint set of 108s with decent tyres around £500/£550 give or take 10%

That's not much at all. Refurbing costs £300-£400 alone due to split rims.

If that's all they are worth then I'll likely just keep them. I would of sold for around £750

Its a free market , post them up with decent pics & description & someone may buy them .
Otherwise keep hold as they will always be a choice pick for the Z4
Out of interest what tyres are on them ? That would have a major swing on them bring top £

Hi sonny .
Thanks for the offer . I do get the impression you
Are looking for way over the market value for them .
That said you are way to far away to make it practical ..
Thanks though .

Should a suitable set appear Greg then Paisley Freight will collect & deliver for £36

To be fair £400 for a set of tyres may not be that much depending on what they are - a previous owner of my Z4 paid Kwik-Fit over £300 for just ONE 255/30 x 18 Bridgestone Potenza more than 4 years ago!

Tyre prices have cheapened the last few years , you can buy a decent set of non runflat 18inch staggered delivered to your door for between £300/£400 with a half decent budget set under £300 :o

Hahahahaha hutch I do like you !!
About time mr gobby got some grief hahahaha
As all he very sadly seems to do is clutter people's posts of whom are trying to sell things

£750 for 108s
After giving me grief on my refurbed 224s with brand new MSS front and 6mm MSS rears hahahaha

Your entitled to your opinion as is he.

How much are brand new 108's are they £550?

Who would pay more for second hand than what new costs? Asking more than retail for a brand new set for a used set is deluded.

Especially the guy selling the ones needing a refurb.

I've took the realistic valuation on the chin. However it looks like others didn't. It's not worth selling mint 108's with bridgestone runflats for £500. So i'm keeping them. Which is what I advised the guy trying to sell his ruined 224's to do.

Brand new 108's from BMW will set you back around £1,600 without tyres.

A brand new set with no tyres is £400 per wheel and you want a full mint set plus tyres for that much? I have nearly new tyres on them which are at the very least worth £250. They have had a recent professional refurb done worth £300-£400. Then you have the fact they are in very good condition.

If you think £750 is too much then what I could propose is that I sell them to you minus the tyres for £550 and you sort out your own shipping/collection/tyres. Glasgow isn't that far away. I drove all the way down past Newcastle to get my roof motor relocated into the boot 350 mile round trip within 6 hours.

£265 for 108's on ebay (sold 16th of April which was less than a month ago) with rear tyres below marking indicators (illegal) and also in need of a refurb. So once you add in 2 rear tyres plus refurb onto £265 your looking at what? £765-£865? Forget the tyres and let's say it's £265 for them plus a decent refurb for say £350 meaning £615 for ones without rear tyres.

So I'm offering mine at market value. Feel free to disagree though but I've provided proof of what ones which need a refurb go for on ebay recently. I can even see people selling single alloys which need a refurb for £120 individually. Like I said I don't need to sell I'll keep them unless it's worth doing so but I don't think my asking price is over market value based on the above recently sold ebay set. In fact it's probably slightly under.

There's a couple of factors needing to be considered here. Whilst £750 may be a good deal, it is only a good deal to someone looking for mint alloys and the Bridgestone tyres.

If OP would be happy with some slightly scuffed alloys for £265 and is prepared to swap his own tyres over then it's not a good deal for him.

Plus, quite a few people on this forum advocate binning the Bridgestone RFTs and getting non RFTs which are a lot cheaper.

Basically, I'm trying, politely, to say that what is a good deal in your eyes, isn't necessarily a good deal to others. Don't get too defensive about it.

GLWTS though.

OP, I hope you find what you're looking for.

Which is why I have offered them without tyres. However I'm not prepared to let a mint set go for kerbed money.

I don't need to sell so I'll likely keep them. If OP is looking for a scuffed set there is one on ebay for £400, could maybe send them a pm haggling them down.

@ OP , if you struggle to find what you want & fancy the idea of OEM BBS Split 18s with a modern twist  i have the set of style 294s from my E89 ( better offsets for E85/E86 than 108s )
Have them up for sale as they are at £250 , or can have them refurbed (split , blasted , powdercoated ) £450
