UPDATE The hand has been dealt and I'm not crying anymore!

can't imagine what that must feel like.

Sorry to hear this awful news, but sounds like you are in the right hands.

Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.

I feel for you Stark, I had to pack in driving the car for a couple of months after a heart attack, and the bikes for quite a while longer, it took me 12 months to get back in the saddle and mucho time trying to convince my doctors that I didn't have angina as a result of the attack - which would have meant higher insurance premiums and having to notify the DVLA. As it is my travel insurance is stupidly expensive.

12 months soon goes over, just get yourself well again that's the most important thing. Good luck.

Ah man that's rubbish news! This happened to my mum a few years back. She is back driving now :driving:

I hope you have a full and speedy recovery. Save the car cash and get something very special in a years time

Nick- wishing you a speedy recovery. keep positive images of yourself behind the wheel again - this will help the recovery. See it - do it!

Well after 7 months off the road and 3 operations later, I got my Licence back last week!!! It was my birthday last Thursday and I drove my car for the first time, roof down, and blasted down the motorway and A roads, and I didn't care what speed I was doing!!

I have spent over £1000 on Uber, watched so much TV, and eaten way too much food. Thankfully my seizures are under control with tablets and no repeats and I can get back to work and try and start a normal life again. Met a lovely girl on holiday last month and fingers crossed all looking great!! Thanks to everyone on here for the kind messages over the last few months.

Nick

Good news indeed - very pleased to hear it - can't you change the title of the post to include " not crying any more" :D

Good news Nick - just try to slow down a bit, you've just got your licence back so the last thing you want is a ban for speeding

And once back into work and a good woman by my side, I might keep the SLK for a few months, but a new car might be on the horizon
