I had a TR4A for over 20 years from 1992 to 2012. At times it was my only car, and I would do 17,000 miles or more a year. No garage or drive at times. Changed the chassis twice (once due to tin worm, once due to a hard landing....). Lots of silly things done to the engine (big valves, Weber's, hairy cam, lightened and balanced crank and flywheel) and suspension, brakes and drive train all suitably beefed up. The car was a huge amount of fun to drive, stuck to the road like s*** to a blanket and made a glorious noise (straight through exhaust system!). Should never have got rid of it!
