It's not like it used to be, like when I was a kid and you had Jeremy, Tiff, Quentin etc. that was a proper car show about cars. Not this rubbish. Still watch it incase there is something interesting.
I have always thought this & it should be about cars as that's what we are interested in but its now more about making money from the name as an entertainment show but like you I still watch it just in case they do decide to review a car that I might be interested in.

Not alone Beedub. Was really looking forward to it, especially as I thought it started last Sunday and had been waiting for it then too. Haha

Angie - TG must be bad if you're missing Quentin :D as a kid, that was the equivalent as the "star in a reasonably priced car" - boooring most if the time with the odd exception!

It was ok. Still worth watching... just.

Here is the antidote: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MPSr7ZWnYQ&list=PL239B84BD346EEEFA

I was a bit surprised... How could they have iconic '80s hot hatches without the Peugeot 205gti?

Think this might be the first season I don't bother watching. They take the mick out of other driving shoes but I would actually prefer a show that reviewed sportscars that are accessible to most of the public. I actually enjoy watching Fifth Gear and I Want That Car when they have decent cars on.

Shall we start a campaign to bring back William Woollard?

Got to agree with the most..

What a load of sh*te that was?

I think I will record the rest of the series and wait for comments on here to see if it's worth watching..

I can,t believe how fat May has got..

Yes lol

I just loved everything about TG when I was a kid. Really looked forward to it. Now you get folk at work with no clue about cars, the ones that don't like most cars because they can't afford them and so instead of appreciating them for what they are just dismiss them out of hand, thinking they are 'petrol heads' because they watch Top Gear these days.

I also get really annoyed when they buy what looks to have been a well kept car, tonight's show didn't really have this. It's been someone's pride and joy and they wreck it. I know, I know you sell you car and that's it but you expect it's going to be treated with respect and they smash them up.

I really need to get out more. If this is me still in my 20s God knows what I'll be like when I'm 50!

That'll be all that wine and good food with his pal Oz. But never mind him.....Clarkson has some gut on him, turns to the side and looks about 7 months pregnant!

When I look in the mirror I can see I'm getting old - can they not see it - someone tidy up Clarkson's eyebrows for heaven's sake - and long grey hair never does look good unless it's all silver May.

Perhaps it's not just them that's looking old. . . maybe the programme needs an update??!!! :(

Having said that - and - although the theme got a bit boring towards the end - I still had some laugh out loud moments.

Didn't think Clarkson would do that climb out over and back - good on yer! :o

But where was the serious car coverage? :(

I enjoyed the 80s hot hatches.. not a bad show at all!

+2 not the best episode, but enjoyable and far better than the usual Sunday night crap that's scheduled.

When they brought out the hot hatches I thought it was going to be right up my street!

It dragged on a bit though unfortunately and was very loosely car based!
