today i...

On Sunday, with live tutorial from Mr R Senior, fixed this lawnmower! An enormous sense of achievement and wellbeing.

My technical skills fall very short of any M-related tinkering, although I did top up the washer bottle last night! :)

Health and safety rubbish !

Just dropped off two replacement headlights I got from the Forum for a sand/polish up, should be done tomorrow and then need fitting.
Thinking maybe of getting the local indie to do it, should be no more than 2 hours labour?

Had a very pleasant drive to Dartmouth, where I spotted two interesting cars.

A Ferrari 599 in Black, with massive carbon ceramic brakes

and a Z4MC in Sepang Bronz, with Blue painted wheel hubs.

Honest opinion, money no object, the Zed looked way better, in the flesh, than the Fezza. 8) :D

Turned these from chrome to black. I tried wrapping them first in carbon look vinyl but it was way too fiddly so I gave up.

Did the grille surrounds as well yesterday and posted them on another thread but this is a better photo:

Had a helicopter flight today over the Norfolk broads which was a birthday present from my wife :trampoline:
Was very surprised on how smooth the flight was.

I know that I have never been on the Broads but I thought the idea was to go by boat!

Spent a couple of hours cleaning the outside of the car on Friday evening, had an alignment done first thing Saturday, then got it wet and dirty again driving down to Camber and back in the rain. Finally, gave the interior a good going over today, used AG leather cleaner and then the feeder. Took ages, hope it's worth it.

Spent 2 hours scrawling under the zed checking my hood drains were clear. Thankfully they were spotless. Can sleep a little easier tonight

.. admired this. What a great colour, love the black contrast, :-)

Another great Sunday.

Early start to watch the F1. Then off, in the Zed, to Porthtowan in SW Cornwall, for a few hours surfing a solid 4ft swell. Great drive back via the North coast to Watergate bay, then inland accross Goss Moor and Bodmin moor to home. :driving:

Washed the cars and finaly, with darkness closing in, trimmed the lawn. :D

YES! I had to change my top at the end, it was soaked through.

The laser cracks the ink, so bringing the pigment out to the surface. its going to take around 6 sessions (£50 each, about 20 minutes of pure pain) to remove it completely
