Is the dish located at a good height & a decent size ?

I won't take her hunting, but would not mind doing the training with her though as she already has good instincts and she did not chase a herd of deer.

Today I checked the tread left on my rears and they are down to the markers! :o

No wonder things felt a little loose on the run mid- week. I thought it might be the temperature but no....

at long last I can replace my rears for Eagle F1s to match my fronts.

I talked to a fella in the tyre trade and he tells me that there are moves to make 3mm the low limit!
He says that tyre performance falls away drastically below 3mm.
Probably at the same rate tyre sale increase?

He's probably right - I generally change my tyres when they get around that depth but my rears caught me out and I was quite surprised they were on the limit.
Been wanting to change them after Falken Z1s were fitted instead of 453s.

A 5mm wear band isn't huge is it? He did say that the tests do show a dramatic fall off in performance.

There will be plenty who bang on about costs to the individual tho!

Happy new tyres

...just got home after about 6hrs in A&E and Pembury children's ward - WB concussed, split bottom lip and a cracked (milk) tooth from a monster double tackle at rugby. His co-tackler also concussed, one other concussion on our team, plus another player with a broken scapula requiring surgery. Been quite an eventful day, but excepting bruising and pending repairs all the boys appear to be fine

WB got man of the match, and the entire squad showed the kind of commitment many adults fail to display, so actually I'm very proud of them all 8)

Know how you feel. My son used to be goalkeeper for his team - reached the stage that one of the A&E nurses know his name when he walked through the door! Good to hear the camaraderie within WB's team - that's what it's really about.

Ouch …

Social services visit next

There's no recoverable evidence from WBs brain - he remembers half time, one tackle he made in the 2nd half (which was one of the most awesome full back cover tackles I've ever seen, a try saver) and then waking up after being unconscious for a few seconds right at the end of the match. At one point he couldn't remember any of it, or the game he played yesterday :o

My son also played full back. I'm sure I felt the pain more than him. Usually excellent sportsmanship from team mates and opposition.

Went on a motorcycle rideout with 10 others to the Krazy Horse Cafe at Bury ST Edmunds. http://www.krazyhorse.co.uk/current.html
If you are in the area pop in - they've got some great bikes (and a couple of cars) downstairs and upstairs is a good cafe at reasonable prices. Recommended.
