This Pin 12 trick to open the boot

So the FRM has permanently shut down the circuit after repeated faults..

Sounds like a wiring short circuit or shorted switch. Don't see what it has to do with the hydraulics...

Update on my crab roof, see videos on page 1 for a reminder.
I bought complete roof framework parts with the "Hydraulic cylinder, roof shell" still attached, partno 54377223333/54377223334, from scrapyard.
Removed the cylinders and today replaced them on the car, swine of a job really hard to get at the clips due to access.

The process if anyone needs it:
Boot into service mode
Rear shell on top so you can access the cylinders, at the point the roof is at its highest is best, support it with a box or something
Dump pressure on the forward brass valve
Remove the clips at either end of the cylinder, there is an electrical connector on the driver side only
Slide out the sliver tabs holding the hydraulic lines in and remove the lines, no fluid spilled
Replace in reverse, using new O rings, RobbiZ4 advised these earlier in this thread.
Getting the spring clips back in is really hard, i managed it by locating against the cylinder and pushing with a large flat bladed screwdriver, relieved to hear them click home. The clips are easily stretched on the way out and this could be a problem for replacement. I had the spare clips off the scrap unit so was ok. See pic showing small and large clip, the large should be the same, it is totally out of shape.

Job done, roof is exactly the same. It works fine, is just pig ugly when it moves like a crab and no doubt is putting strain where it shouldn't be. I'm considering replacing the full roof mechs, but feel its beyond me, and I don't have a garage. Anyone want to buy a project car?

Better update this with a happy ending. Bit the bullet and took it to Hoodtech in chester. I had in fact bent the frame. New roof fitted off eBay and working perfectly, long may it stay that way.
My roof saga has been about 15 months long and fell out of love. Can't afford the tax and insurance renewals so it's going to be sorn for a bit, unless I sell.
Big shout to hoodtech, felt very confident with Charlie and the team there.
