also kind of surprised by the 0- 60 time. Not really that extraordinary for the money. Should be 15k cheaper.

Yeah its a lotta cash to get you there :?
you could pi55 those numbers with a remapped 3.5Is & save £50k :o
They are nice though

That colour is gorgeous. I will have a Targa GTS in carmine red one day. In my dreams :D

well just buy the bloody thing .... obviously this is what you want ?

then move over to the Porsche forum , good luck in your search

This highlights my recent dilemma and problem with Porsche i'm afraid. I have the cash, but it was hard earned. For 55k, they can get stuffed if they think I will pay £1600 for red paint.

Yes, the cars are nice though.

Life is too short to worry about money. If you have it and you want a Porsche, just go out and buy it.I do.You can't drive it when your six foot under.Sorry but it really annoys me when people say they have the cash but it was hard earned. Most of us have earned our money the hard way ,but that doesn't mean we don't spend it .

thats WAY to much for a car with marginal performance benefits over a 8 year old z4m.

Careful OG that's how it starts.... If the targa ever goes I think it's towards Boxter GTS or Spyder that I will be looking. But I'd want it in GT Silver which makes the red paint look cheap . That GTS is quite reasonably specced the ones I've seen in a showroom are more like 75k.

Which is expensive but a lot less than the 911 now is. personally I think the 981 has become in some respects the replacement for the 997.

Hi Beedub ...

sorry for the cold post last night .. also I was not on any sauce lets get that straight ! I had a late night at the amplifier workshop getting my valve amplifiers ready for CE certification .. very stressful and costly

What I was trying to say was that I have read most of you posts and this seems a model that you would really like, so just go for it .. you have a great Z4M for what I have seen that I am sure will command a high price to the right person. We looked at a new boxter (the others where outside of our price range) but as soon as we put some extras on the price rocketed .. plus I did not realise that you only got a 2 year warranty and the 3rd year was £600, So that's why we ended up with a fully loaded 35is that was heavily discounted. I still look at them now and play with the configurations but our dealer is miles away ... good luck with what ever you do, but either way you have a great car now and unique .. which seems to be going up in value ... anyway signing off more amplifiers to build

regards

JB

It's definitely looking that way Rob/Byron. I suspect the 981's will be sought after in the future because the 4-cylinder turbo engines are coming and the flat 6 will be no more (at least in the Boxster/Cayman).
