If we open up as Duckman suggests we all know what happens, people get ill and die. Spanish and Italians will soon also realise it if they open up although friends who live in Majorca are saying the opposite. They are more restricted than us

I agree - Relaxation has filled the hospitals and unfortunately the morgues as well.

I guess they could keep the over 60's on lockdown until it all blows over and then the morgues won't be full.

A work colleague got struck down just before Christmas and is still off work and unsure when they will be returning, she's 39 and now in a bit of state with long Covid, so yeah great idea, let the elderly carry on self isolating as it doesn't affect younger people and of course the hospitals will be fine once the population crack on as normal.

A work colleague got struck down just before Christmas and is still off work and unsure when they will be returning, she's 39 and now in a bit of state with long Covid, so yeah great idea, let the elderly carry on self isolating as it doesn't affect younger people and of course the hospitals will be fine once the population crack on as normal.

So she got it just over 5 weeks ago and hasn't fully recovered?

I hope she gets well soon.

My ex-boss's (since Covid came and I lost my job) wife had it for well over 2 months. She was at home, mind, not clogging up a hospital, allowing the more vulnerable and elderly to be looked after.....

Hi, yes, thank you for asking. I'm OK. I managed to get a job and start within days of my redundancy finishing. So, no problems.

It's really strange starting a new job and never meeting your colleagues. Plus the fact most of them are in the US!

I'm just sick to death of working from home, blobbing in front of the study computer and not getting to work 'properly'.

That's Brilliant, good for you.

I have been working form home since late 2018. It takes some getting used too. Having a "work room" and not mixing business with pleasure does help. I walk into my office and it's like clicking a switch in my head.

I do miss the banter of being in a big group at work.

I have my own recruitment business and people are starting roles these days with clients who they have had a 1-2 hour Skype interview with.

On the plus side it's alot easier to organise video calls than it is a face to face.

Im not quite that old
I had two busses and a ten minute walk when I started as a snooty nosed apprentice tho - top floor of the Bus was smoke filled and oldies ( it seemed) coughing.

The one good thing with working from home is it's made me realise how much I dislike my job and how much I can't wait to retire
