I notice you are a Nofolk boi Stevo- My Gran who is 95 lives in Necton (just outside of Swaffham) and she hasn't been given an appointment time for her 1st Jab (as of 5 days ago- she might since I have spoken to her).
We have a family friend who is in her 40's and works in the NHS as a PA to an exec. Neither get anywhere near patients but she had the jab last Monday. Sounds as if it's going to anyone who is employed by the NHS regardless of role. If that is what is happening it's a disgrace.
One of my neighbours is a Pediatrician at our local hospital, and he's had the needle the other day. Doesn't go anywhere near the elderly.

Whilst the bald facts of this do sound a bit off, don't forget that the Pfizer vaccine comes in large batches (I believe 975 doses was mentioned?). Once defrosted it all has to be used within 3 or 4 days max.
To me, it makes sense that if you are unable to get 975 people of the right groups to turn up in time then you should jab others who are to hand rather than waste it.
Obviously I have no idea if this was indeed the case here, but just think the full facts should be understood before we all get upset about the injustice of it.

I was merely following on from Nanu's post. I'm not sure either whether it's a disgrace or unjust, but if there is a limited time frame in which to administer it, would it not be prudent to organise yourself to make sure that the correct people were present to receive the dose? There are millions of people waiting; I'd think 975 doses could be utilised quite easily.

This is precisely the reason why the government and ministers should not be blamed when it's the people with the administrative jobs who can't do their jobs properly who are at fault.

Yes, I think 'organise' is the key word here.

I’m not too sure they will meet that figure, however I do I hope that I’m wrong. This should be the countries focus, forget about everything thing else and get everyone vaccinated using every resource possible to the UK. ASAP. This is now a national emergency and red tape should be removed and just get the vaccine out and use every single resource at getting this achieved like Israel is doing.
The potential issues don't appear to be the roll out itself, it's the supply of the vaccine that's the problem. There are tons of the stuff already produced but each batch has to be dip sampled and tested for quality. Sounds a bit bureaucratic but I suppose it's necessary to ensure there is not a bad batch injected into peoples arms. The sampling process take a week or two for each new batch.

Drinking alcohol after getting a coronavirus vaccine can significantly blunt the immune response and potentially render the vaccine ineffective, according to a leading Russian scientist. “We strongly recommend refraining from alcohol for three days after each injection,” Alexander Gintsburg, head of the Gamaleya National Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology in Moscow

   Thats everybody on here screwed then

As a 67 year old and a Diabetic Type 2 controlled by insulin I will be having the Covid jab when called. I have a casual job with our local Funeral Directors and we are currently very busy coping with Covid victims as well as all our normal time of year deaths. It is so sad to see the funeral services or cremations for peoples loved ones limited to 20 or 30 mourners depending on the locations for the services. If anyone doubts whats being reported on the news and daily briefings they should request a visit to their local hospital Mortuary, they are full and most locations now have temorary mortuaries set up, they are filling up as well. If it gets any worse funerals may well be an immediate trip to the crem with no opportunity for a family service, lets just hope it dosn't come to that.

It sounds very grim.
Thanks for sharing.

You know that’s one of the worst things about this, we had a 15 minute ‘slot’ at the crem for mum, a max of 12 people, apart from my son wife and myself and Claire’s mum dad and new hubby, they got divorced years ago, that was it as the rest of our very small family all live far away, are elderly and we were in full lockdown so no travelling, so we didn’t even go to the crem, we had her coffin come to our house and say goodbye there as mum would have wanted that, the thing that breaks my heart more than anything and still makes me cry is her coffin going into the crem all alone, how is that possible...? I could have gone on my own but was strongly advised not to given the amount of services happening and my recent health issues, it’s all so tragic, I so hate this damn situation were all in.

I’m afraid to say (but not ashamed) that even now at my age I can still get quite tearful about my dear old mother. She died almost ten year ago.
You will find that there are triggers those emotions.

I’m sure you do Ronk, time makes it easier but does no more than that does it. My 2 year older brother died at 18 in a cycling accident, that hurts as much now as it ever did, what would he have been and how close would we be..? Would he have had kids..etc, etc, Dads gone too so no one left from my childhood, it happens over time of course, the circle of life and death and I doubt there’s anyone here without a story to tell, but the hurt is still strong. My brother especially and mum went too soon, dad did very well considering he had polio as a kid.

Keep smiling...we still have it good.

Yep I’ll agree with that....the best health care ever and still able to buy a proper engine....although that’s pretty controversial admittedly....!

I see so many stories that make my minor challenges seem even less insignificant.

Chin up fella, I can only suggest to look forward to the summer with your car & propose should you need a distraction, trying to organise a forum meet/cruise July/Aug is one sure fire way of taking your mind off things - can be a real nightmare at times

Weird that this has gone widely unreported
Nurse dies in Portugal following vaccination
"Weird"? Really? Even if it's proven to be caused by the vaccine, you're unlikely to ever hear about it again.
The big pharmas will lean on the hospital to have her death being the result of anything but the vaccine.
But, I'm happy to be proven wrong. Let's wait and see.
Well, looks like I was right. Of course the cause of this woman's death was not linked to the vaccine, but.... they won't let us see the toxicology report. Surprise surprise.

Hilarious! I KNEW the response would be about the source.
Sooooo... go and find me another source that tells a different story! Go on! Keep looking until perhaps you get the outcome or lean that you're looking for (funny, you take the time to refute my source, but don't use that time instead to provide your own).
Actually, here's a challenge. Find me a mainstream media outlet that reports on it at all. I'll kick you off. Search perhaps for 'Portuguese' or 'nurse'. I've even done two for you (Aussie-style).
Here's SBS:
https://www.sbs.com.au/search?query=Portuguese&p=1&sort=date:d
NOTHING
ABC news:
https://search-beta.abc.net.au/index.html?siteTitle=news#/?configure%5BgetRankingInfo%5D=true&configure%5Banalytics%5D=true&configure%5BclickAnalytics%5D=true&configure%5BuserToken%5D=anonymous-a2053895-d1ae-4668-b745-a7b2fc048b2b&configure%5BhitsPerPage%5D=10&query=portuguese&page=1&sortBy=ABC_production_all_latest
NOTHING
But I'm looking forward to your reply (with some facts).

Tiffany Dover

THAT'S the problem....way too many listen to rumours....and then spread them as though it's the gospel. Of course the stories below are from unreliable sources (Reuters and AAP) so it's not like they have the credence of some obscure blogger in mummy's spare room.....

https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-factcheck-nurse-covid-vaccine-dead-idUSKBN29629G

https://www.aap.com.au/nurse-who-fainted-after-covid-19-vaccine-shot-is-not-dead/
So, this to me, say's she's dead. If you doubt, do the checks yourself.
https://www.bitchute.com/video/13Ei999rGlaZ/
https://www.bitchute.com/video/gVheV7TsrP3O/
I did it for myself. here's search quarry
https://www.searchquarry.com/
Strangely enough, if you do a search for Tiffany Dover in Alabama, then.... whoops, 'our server timed out, because there are sooooo many Tiffany Dovers in Alabama'. But if you type in a really obscure name like John Smith ( ), then because it's such a rare name, it is able to find all of them. Have a play yourself.
