I wonder what the reason is for not giving to kids or pregnant women?
Is it just because they have no knowledge of possible side effects that could occur or something else?
Also what about women (or men , cant leave them out) who get pregnant shortly after having the vaccine? Is there concerns there?

I’m not a SME on this ..I think it’s two different issues / factors..

Children seem almost wholly immune to the effects of Covid especially under 12s...so maybe to play to the conspiracy‘I told you so’ the risk/benefit equation is unproven at this stage...

Pregnant women have a very unusual biological condition of rapidly evolving / developing cells in the baby and again it’s not clear what / if any effects this vaccine has..

It’s not unusual for pregnant women NOT to have certain vaccines...

See https://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/concerns/vaccines-during-pregnancy.html

Well, that did not take long for the first negative news to appear.

I am surprised with all those tests and people who have had this during the trial, that on the first day of the jab there are issues.

Two people who already knew they may be allergic, did indeed prove to be. Hardly the end of the world tbh.
I wouldn't have thought they would have allowed people with conditions such as those to take part in a trial would they?
Though of course we'll never know, i wonder how many people vaccinated yesterday would have died of Covid without it? My guess would be more than two.
Sadly though, it is an easy bandwagon to jump on.

If that Bill Shakespeare chap who got it yesterday has a severe reaction to it I'm guessing you'd all just say it was poetic justice?

To be, or not to be vaccinated, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous Covid,
Or to take needles in your arms against a sea of viruses. And by opposing end them.
To die—to sleep, No more; and by a sleep to say we end.

Of course on the flipside everyone would be moaning if there wasn't a vaccine as opposed to moaning there is one.

Tim.

Or it is there too quick or too slow ...

I'm starting with the flu jab tomorrow, amazing how hard it's been trying to get that. Let's see how long it takes before the vaccine is available to the rest of us.

My Consultant said after the announcement that they were lowering the age for the flu jag this year the NHS weren’t set up for it and couldn’t cope with the increase in numbers never mind rolling out a new large national immunisation project for Covid

I have had the NHS text message from a "No Reply" SMS location asking me to have the flu jab on the 12th of December. The only problem is that they ask you to text "Decline" if you don't want it, but that message fails to send

Good old NHS / Government IT projects ...

Don't know about any microchips in the flu jab. Didn't realise the flu jab was so controversial.
Anyway, no waiting around, our village surgery flu vaccination was run very successful.

saw that there were a couple of NHS staff that took the thing and ended up being ill, allergic reactions it seems, hopefully that can be ironed out! :(
