Back on topic, its not that I don't like white, it is just becoming to common again and especially on the e89. Was quite disappointed in JDM choosing a white car after the black coupe but hey its his car.Just one point though, white is not a woman's colour choice, we have, on average, better colour co-ordination than men and so we pick colours

Now then, now then, we'll have no talk like that Miss Sars :P

To be fair, I have wanted a white car for a long time. To the point I was considering putting a white wrap on the coupe.

I do like black and when its clean I think no colour will come close but it is such a nightmare to look after and shows every little mark. I would have gone for space grey but my previous roadster was sterling grey. Acatama yellow is too in your face, silver is bland, the red looks good in some lights but in others not so nice and the blue is too much like the black in terms of looks and a pitta to look after.

Hence my decision to go with white.. And its a no cost option which means I could spend the money on other nice shiny things :) :)

Excuse me......It's Titanium Silver

Try Specsavers  :poke:

It's not just about not being able to afford metallic is it? All these white cars are missing two cylinders as well :fuelfire:

I was thinking about Alpina White when I ordered my car, so I could spare the money on other options. I have OCD so it isn't really the colour for me.

Hi all

If we order a Z4 the wife has decided on white ...... Only problem is she hates aluminium trim ! .... Just wonder what interior combinations anyone has without aluminium ?

Cheers

Piano black is an individual option and apparently adds 6 weeks to the build! According to my dealer

The configurator doesn't let you select piano black with red leather...... Wonder if the dealer can order that combo ? ...... Anyone seen/ordered beige with ash wood ? :)

Sorry but White just isnt for me. There are obviously some very proud guys and girls (and rightly so) with a new zed on order but for me whenever I see a white car I instantly want to shout TAXI. lol

No white Taxi's where I live.

If I ordered a Taxi and a Z4 turned up, I'd be pleased! (as long as I didn't have much luggage!!).

That's strange 95% of the taxi for 50 miles round me are White.

Most are Burgundy, some are Black. Then there are the private taxi's of varying colours, but don't see many (or any) White ones.

Whatever colour they are, they are all c*nts as far as my experience goes!

(probably see nothing but white taxi's now!).

That could be acceptable if i was off to the airport as it will have more boot space than my Zed. lol Not long till your pick up date now.

Off topic

In a working taxi most of the boot is taken up by the spare wheel and disabled ramps.

Mine had a very rare option. There was a hood that would fold out over the boot lid so you could use that area to hold luggage. It was also Left Hand Drive. I gave the Taxi away when we moved to Wales.

Ah, London Taxi's. My comments were aimed at the local tossers who drive like a bat out of hell to get to their next fare, they overcharge you and on the very few times I've actually needed a taxi, they are the most unhelpful people I've come across. Since getting charged £8 for a 5 minute ride (just got back from crawling the London Marathon and couldn't walk off the train!) I only ever give them the light of day when really really desperate...like the time my wife was going through Radiotherapy and it was snowing so no busses running. Taxi's were running, but they wouldn't help her!

London Taxi's are different. They've been helpful, apart from early Feb when we came out of the O2 and the tube wasn't running due to snow. Got water taxi to Westminster then tried to get taxi to hotel....again, they were running, but wouldn't stop to pick people up, even though they were empty.

No offence to taxi drivers, I'm sure they're not all the same, but it seems the "service" element has gone and they are just selfish now.

I had a recent trip to the UK. The taxi drivers in London were excellent. One got me from Kensington to Euston at peak hour in near record time...good banter too :-)

Got off the train at the other end of my journey and caught a Milton Keynes 'taxi'. After what felt like an eternity I sensed we may be lost, so suggested the driver stop to get his bearings. It was at this point it became clear he was waiting for my instructions...FFS! "I thought you lived here" to which I replied "And I thought you were a taxi driver!"

We 'agreed' that he'd turn the meter off and I'd pay what I felt the journey was worth when we finally got to my destination.

Oh, and given how crap the car was I thought my 15 quid should have been enough to buy the car, not just get a ride in it...!
