Woeful so far - seems pretty bowler-friendly conditions but even so for a team jostling for number 1 test side to throw away wickets like they've been doing is sloppy at best.

250 bare minimum needed now, wouldn't mind seeing what Jimmy can do with these conditions mind.
 
A lot of nerves around the England team. I heard a good point yesterday that England don't like being the favourites, since 2005 we've been under dogs and always over-achieved. Different kettle of fish here.

The last few test series we've always had a poor first couple of days, so no need to panic yet!

Very bowler friendly conditions tbh, dangerous to judge one side before the others had a bowl.

It's one of them, some have been absolutely plum deliveries but others have thrown there wickets away

Forget your Steyns and Philanders... when you need a wicket there's no one I'd want in the team ahead of Jimmy Anderson. Haddin will be the vital wicket in this.
 
just twenty minutes ago I was hoping we could hold them to 160-180. 140 now looking like a big ask.

I'm with you there. Twice on Sundays. And she could eat crisps, toast and digestives in bed without making me grumpy :P
