Motto, I just updated your other thread too, but basically the parts for the heated seats are £1150

:o That's rediculous!!! I'd rather carry around a box of matches! Well I'll be waiting for a car with heated seats then....

Yep crazy really.

Interestingly, although the seat covers can be ordered without the heating elements, what the parts guy was saying was that they usually just order them as heated seats and then if the car doesn't have them fitted, they just cut the wires and fit them on anyway.

That's even worse, I thought German engineering was efficient?! :(

As in other post I've seen the car below (well the advert below still waiting on images). Just phoned them and asked when the last service was done, it was about a year and a bit ago/ around 10,000 miles. He said he would get it serviced (after some gentle persuasion) aparently there is some sort of BMW specialist garage or something close by and that he would put a years tax on it at the asking price. Trouble is I never want to pay full asking price for any car, especially at the present climate, what do you think of the deal and what is a fair price do you reckon? Thanks.

I paid a few grand more for mine last month, 6 months newer but similar mileage though a perfect kit list and from a bmw dealer with warranty - not sure 17s were standard on the 3lr but others could confirm, thought the first ones all had m sport suspension and 18s - x reg means it was one of the very first, might be worth checking it's not an import.

Cheers - it certainly says "UK car" in the advert but will double check. Will also check why it says X reg! I still have to buy 18" rims and a hardtop so I'm going to offer a few hundered quid less but it would help if the dam* photos were there!

must be an 03 reg, maybe x reg means it was on a private plate and the new one hasn't come through from the dvla yet. Checking the dealer site the price looks good for the spec and milage.

Yip - still thinking of trying to get something of it, worth a try eh?!

Remember this old thread and the disucssion of letting your wife drive your Z? Well thought I'd let you know the wife drove up the curb the other week and scratched the bottom panel under the door.........didn't talk to her for about a day! The guy who had it before me had it for 5 years and it was mint, the wife had it 3 weeks!

Well at least she's paying for it (I mean financially I haven't beaten her up pr anything! :) ), let that be a lesson to you all! :D
