Tempted...

Staggering how much these have plummeted. I recall Vidge's deal on his.

I stand by my view that the 35is should never have been made. For one its too big a premium over the 35i for little benefit. If Audi can do an RS for £45k then BMW should've had an M model for £45-50k. It seems like the market agrees.

My apologies Carol, sincerely.

I'm going to stand behind my comments though, but will be less silly about it. Maniac is a good forum friend, and I really don't want to see him make a mistake, especially financially. A Z4 is gorgeous in any form, and yes I'd rather have yellow over red, but it's still a left of centre choice and whilst white, blue, grey and black will appeal to 999 out of a 1000 people, only 1 out of the 1000 will want yellow.yes it makes them unique, quirky, individual etc etc, but it's still very risky.

If you don't care about money, fine, but Gary and myself have lost lots on our 35i's, and it's something that I wouldn't want anyone else to now knowingly do. Should I care about his car choices? Probably not. Do I regret slagging the colour off as much? Yes I do.

Sorry again Carol

Starkers, you don't have to apologise as I know that, from you, it was just 'silliness' and a flippant way to get your point across about the future value which is, of course a valid point and must be taken into consideration if that is going to be a future factor when you come to sell.
I really do appreciate that you've said sorry :) but there's no need.
Its other people on this forum that I was referring to that think they are terribly witty and funny. (Aka ill mannered) in criticising someone's choice of car colour.
It's starting to get me now, they must be right. I'm going to have to rush out this morning and change it for a colour they approve of. *insert sarcasm smilie*
(Bubaganoosh, about time! :D )

Please don't change or do a Nosa, us girls gotta stick together :D

:friends: funny thing is 'dem haters' who've bought a calendar have got to look at my car all November if they want to know what day it is!

z4 35is for £24k

If it is such a sh1t colour of car, how come it got it the calendar ? Must be quite a few people who (secretly) like it

TBH I feel sorry for those who have such limited taste. Must be hard for them staying so reserved in the face of such blatant excess of personal expression

Get one (whatever colour you like) and negotiate enough off the price to allow you a visit to Mr ESS's reprogramming emporium. 400+ bhp should keep it exciting

See I take the view that if that 1 in 1000 person really likes the Atacama and they are few and far between then they will be worth a bit more.....I'm wrong - but for the next couple of years I am happy to keep my head in the sand and enjoy what I openly referred to as 'the yellow peril' until I found out its a bit of a racist term that Grandad liked to use!

United we stand my friend.

Whilst I don't dislike yellow cars I simply wouldn't own one, too in your face and ever so slightly embarrassing for a male to file his nails in, it would be "he's borrowed the wife's car again" :?

I don't think the ladies understand the blokes point of view :poke:

Tim.

The big problem with that one is that the parking sensors are too flush to the bodywork :P :exitright:

Little point getting an 'is' to remap it.. It's the same engine as I've got already! I could just remap mine.. The issue is it then knackers the warranty. It's only the warranty being intact that makes me want to get the 'is'.

Carol you're scary.....you don't need a gang!! :driving:

Maniac, I know how this will go, you will go see it, but then realise how much you love yours.....get some new wheels, a private plate and you're done.....spend a little more on a decent plate, and you won't look back. See if BMW will give you a warranty after inspection perhaps....
