Tempted...

You will notice the difference in the power and how the iS delivers it, if the weather conditions allow!

I dropped the silver wing mirrors on mine in favour of matching my body work, for me too many colours going on

The colour is a very personal thing, but think about the resale value

Have fun

I love atacama yellow, go for it

stark your just a colour phobic bloke with the imagination of a slug :P

Yes ok, but you'd say something similar if Bing bought a bright Pink one!!!

I actually wouldn't, no.
I wouldn't dream of 'putting down' somebody's car colour choice. You wouldn't walk into somebodies house and criticise their sofa colour or how they'd decorated or the colour of the clothes they were wearing, not to their face anyway. So why is it ok to tell somebody their choice of car colour is sh1t?
The most I would say is, 'it's not for me'.
I had a lot of stick on here about my car not long after I joined the forum (and it still goes on) and while I don't particularly care what others think about my car colour choice, I find them rude and wonder why they think its ok to say stuff and call it 'banter'. It's not banter, its bad manners.

So go and buy a yellow car if you want to and if anybody else doesn't like it, tough but they should be more polite about telling you they don't like it in my opinion.

My last but two car was yellow ... loved it...

Exactly, stand up and be counted, my old Phoenix Yellow zed was gorgeous and Carol's is just lush

......starkers, maybe the slug jibe was a little harsh but wouldn't this forum be dull if we all had recession white zeds

It wasn't harsh, not in the slightest. :D

I saw and Atacan yellow today on the M40 - first one i have seen in the flesh. In the hideous weather it was easy to pick out as it had its own fluorescent jacket. I liked it.

I have to admit that I owned one of those Fiat Seicentos Abarth Sportings in broom yellow for 5 years, it was a great little car and always made me smile :D

No point in buying a car for future value, IMHO you should buy what you like... there will always be someone that will like it, its just a matter of timing.

The atacama yellow is cool, personally I'd immediately combo that with black alloys.

... anyone old enough to remember when Prince "well formerly known as" featured a yellow 8 series w/black alloys in one of his pop videos

I remember everything prince did! That was when he had the gold gun mike and the video was to Sexy Motherf*cker :D

And well said about not worrying about future value.

I was going to say surely you don't look old enough to remember prince, but that would be creepy

That video sparked off the yellow paint black alloys craze on lambos and fezzas at the time and it still looks cool now :)

Wonder what happened to prince, he was definitely a leading edge artists of his time...

He's still making music! He's just released a new single called Rock and Roll Love Affair (not very good tho, a bit 80's organ throw back) I'm a big fan.
Thank you for saying that but I am well old enough!

Oops, most of the big 80s/90s artists are either producing or writing now so aren't really seen, will check it out on itunes.

Have to say my most fav tune is "raspberry beret", always crank it up and sing along badly when that's on :D

I can't believe that on a Z4 forum there are people stating that a car's colour could somehow bring into question one's sexuality - surely any chap with a zed has had enough of the girls car/gay car baiting that we should all be in this together whatever the colour of our car. I have a dream....

Mine is an Atacama and I get a fair share of baulking at the colour and loads of admiring comments too, it certainly divides opinion but I love it, my last zed was black and I just thought it blended in too much, no point being a wall flower. Chap approached me at brands the other week and said it was a lovely car, I asked what he thought of the colour, he said 'we wouldn't be having this conversation without it' that sums it up for me & a Zed is the wrong car to be worrying about residuals, we're all sat here haemorrhaging money!

My apologies Carol, sincerely.

I'm going to stand behind my comments though, but will be less silly about it. Maniac is a good forum friend, and I really don't want to see him make a mistake, especially financially. A Z4 is gorgeous in any form, and yes I'd rather have yellow over red, but it's still a left of centre choice and whilst white, blue, grey and black will appeal to 999 out of a 1000 people, only 1 out of the 1000 will want yellow.yes it makes them unique, quirky, individual etc etc, but it's still very risky.

If you don't care about money, fine, but Gary and myself have lost lots on our 35i's, and it's something that I wouldn't want anyone else to now knowingly do. Should I care about his car choices? Probably not. Do I regret slagging the colour off as much? Yes I do.

Sorry again Carol
