STOLEN! YL03 HCA - Update 5 - Home, for now!

That's a horrible thing to have happened - scum like that need to have their bollocks removed using a blunt and rusty knife...

Sorry to hear that :(

On a brighter note, if any thief's want to steal mine please feel free. I quite fancy a si..!!!

Sigh - what c***ts

Where abouts in Notts?

Seems like quite a few owners in here around Notts, so worth posting it in the lounge forum too - you'll be missing out on the E89 half of the club otherwise!

Lets hope as a forum we can help. Any distinguishing features? Police said anything? My mums car was stolen in notts once, turned up ~12 hours later just down the road.

Awful news.

Does make me re-debate whether I should cough up the £360 to have my car's tracker updated to the new one and re-activated..

Oh mate, that's awful - and after you doing all that work to get it back on the road again

Really hope you find it, and in one piece.
As Bing says, cars are replaceable but it's much harder when it contains some of your blood and sweat too...

That's crap news,Ian.....hope they get it back in one piece. Awful thing to happen, especially with all the work you have done on it recently and over the years, adding neat mods, etc. And this was going to be your first year in a while back at the meets. Hope you get it back soon mate

Thieving a***holes - Try pitching a call to your local filling station BP , Shell etc and ask if the can put your reg on the number plate recognition system, It'll be in their interest also, seeing as the bastards nickef your car they are hardly likely to pay for a tank of fuel!

All the best - Hope it turns up unscathed!

Stu.

Could be worth updating the PistonHeads stolen car list also? http://www.pistonheads.com/gAssing/topic.asp?h=0&t=473902&mid=0&nmt=Stolen+Cars

Spoke to them yesterday when trying to activate my car's tracker which is apparently now out of date. So effectively I don't have one.

It is going to cost £120 to have them fit the up to date tracker and then £140 subscription per year or £320 subscription for the lifetime of vehicle ownership.

Figures are from memory but very close to their actuals.

Just a thought - if you have an old iphone you could leave it plugged in somewhere in the car and use find-my-iphone :o

I left my iphone in a taxi and managed to track the driver taking it brixton - it was turned off somewhere near the station there - luckily i'd been watching it and informed the Addison Lee head office - presumably he was going to sell it!

That's really s**t news, Ian, especially after all the work you've put into it. Will keep an eye out for it round here - zeds are few and far between so would stand out.

wasnt there a really cheap tracker from amazon that was a bit like the iphone thing? sad news about the car... i guess in some respects it was good you were not in bed or something when they came into the house. does make you think, i leave my keys all over the shop.
