Spacers...

So they have arrived! Itching to get them on but my wife has been out all afternoon and I have had the kids. Don't think she would be too impressed if she found out I'd fitted these leaving the kids in the house!

They are steel and a little weightier than I expected to be honest quick pic with both sets on the scales...

Will get them on this evening even if I have to do it in the dark! Will take pics straight before and after too

i've too 108 wheels, i want buy 16mm at back, on italian forum all tells that 20mm is too and 16mm is ok.

Makes the world of difference.

1 thing I was worried about was the clearing on the front whenn full lock. I have about 2-3mm when locked so just enough! The only time it would ever be on full lock would be when creeping slowly so wouldn't have to worry about suspension travel at that speed, potentially making the gap smaller

I know

But I am determined to get those Eibachs on next month, which may cause me a problem with spacers actually...

Bugger, they look brilliant, something else to do on mine.

Thanks for the photos, they clearly show the difference.

Nah, the spacers won't interfere with 30-35mm drop

Cool - only 15mm on mine as it's a Sport so already slightly lower, but delighted to hear it. Maybe I can have them snuck on when the (already authorised) springs get fitted... And of course if I get rumbled then I will have saved an additional 4 wheel alignment in the future :P

So much better! What ones did you go for? Did they come with longer bolts?

I will find the link for them and pop them on here.
The rear ones didn't need longer boots. The spacer itself bolted to the hub (with supplied bolts) then you use your original bolts to bolt the wheel to the spacer.

The fronts came with longer bolts so was a nice easy change. 15mm just isn't enough to counter sink the head of a bolt into I guess!

Thanks for the comments guys!

Quick question - are the spacers obvious when looking at the hubs, or do the wheels hide them pretty well ?

Good question. I thought that too because I didn't want the goldy looking steel to show through making it look odd, but you really struggle to see them.
I will take some pics tomorrow of the wheel at different angles, but I haven't noticed them once (and I've been staring at the car numerous times over the last 2 days!!)
