Spacers...

That and the corrosion is one of the few reasons i got rid of my 108's.

Even i would be interested in these... And may got back to my 18's.

Basically you would have to go out of your way to notice them on the car!!

Finally got round to changing the brake pads today too (had to drive round for a while then stop before the brake warning light would go off) so decided to give her a good clean!

Happy motoring! :driving:
Off to Bristol area tomorrow for work so will clock up some roof down miles (hopefully no rain!)
Much better!

Still not a fan of the tango front lights and side repeaters... On the list of to do's!
AE install and de tango front Headlights is next!

If you don't mind me asking where did you purchase them from and how much? I think they look great and would love to do the same to mine!

I have 20 mm both front and back on my 2.5i, and they look just great, giving a car more muscle look. Mind you I've got 18" from 1 series sport, that are 7.5" wide on the front, and 8.5" on the back, so needed to make front ones more out too.

If I've got 18 x 8 (front) and 18 x 8.5 (rear) on my car, what size spacers can I get away with - without the wheels looking ridiculous?

15-20 mm at the front, 20mm at the back without a problem. But it also depends on the ET of the alloys that you have. If the ET is low, like 25-30 then your wheel will be out more so you will need less mm on the spacers, if you have higher ET 30-40 then your wheel will be inside so you will need more mm on your spacers.

I' ve bought 16mm from this seller

On italian forum all said good about that.

Still can't believe the difference these make! I catch myself grabbing a sneaky look pretty often now to check out the lines!! :D

I bought them off these guys... http://www.essexstyling.com/ they were very helpfull over the phone too.
I didn't know what to expect from the company name...! But I have been very happy with service (over the phone) delivery (next day) and fit and quality of the spacers.
They cost around £109 for both sets inc delivery.

They came with longer bolts too, yes ? Did you have to buy locking ones separately ?

Thats right they came with all the bolts needed.
The fronts came with longer bolts
The rears come with all bolts needed to bolt on to the hub, then your original bolts bolt on to the spacer.

The only locking bolts you need are for the front. The guys at EssexStyling will be able to get all you need though. At the moment i dont have the locking nuts on the front... Thank you for reminding me!!

anyone know if 20mm rear/15mm front will be ok on a 3.0i with 108's and eibachs? :)

the best way to measure... that i found... was to simply lie down next to the car right next to the wheel so you can see into the arch. Get a steel ruler and put that against either the Wheel or Tyre (whichever protrudes the most) then sight up how much clearance you have.
Thats all i did and worked a treat!
I dont have Eibachs on so i am not sure if it would work. Takes 2 mins to have a look though with a rule!

just ordered some for mine, got standard setup, so I've gone for 10mm eibach spacers on the fronts and 15 on the rears, should be subtle enough

LukeMace, have you found any difference in the way yours now drives....ie tramlining etc.......

Nice!
Nope, no real difference in the way it drives. If anything it tramlines less

'04 3.0i with sports package 18" 107's, staggered setup.

Looking at Verstraβe Motorsport Spacers from Sonic MS, thinking 12mm front, 15mm rear. Will this fit?

LukeMace, I have the exact same rims and was wondering about spacers too. I'll probably go for 12mm in front and 15mm at the back. But what kind of bolts did you take for the 15mm spacers? Conic ones? How long?

I just can't seem to find how long they are supposed to be... :?
