Some C**T has done a hit and run on my car! UPDATE

So last night as i was getting ready to go out, i hear my door bell go off and i was thinking who the bloody hell i'm getting ready to go out. Anywho get the door and it turns out it's my next door neighbour who'd just seen some c**t do a hit and run on my car. She didn't get the full reg only that it was a 14 plate black vw polo.
Rang the police and have to head down to my local station with my crime ref number. I doubt the c**t will be found.
I'm absolutely fumming as the car was pretty much sold to a member on here.



Just had a call from the insurance repair centre and the car is not a write off and will be fixed. Happy f**king days :D

You're right, they probably won't be found but I really hope so. :(

Thanks Carol, yeah i am, wasn't in the car

Yup chances of them being found are pretty slim. Not sure if it'll be fixed or written off :thumbsdown:

They were walking their dog when it happened, my guess is they were drunk and not paying attention, my road is a residential with cars parked on either side of the road as well as speed humps
 
That is awful. I really feel for you.
There must be a fair bit of damage to the other car and they may go to a VW dealer to get it sorted as it's so new.
Assuming no Polo was stolen last night it's got to be a piss head.
Hope you get it sorted soon.
 
Thanks Dav, hopefully the the police find the person.
It's being picked up this afternoon by the insurance so will find if it can be fixed or not

I feel for you, I really do. In the past month or so both the S-Max and Corsa have had hit and run damage, and IMmie has suffered door dings. I just hate everyone and everything now. Not very yogic, but there you are.

If they do write it off, it looks like a prime candidate to buy back, repair and sell. It looks like mainly outer skin damage?

Hopefully they'll catch the driver of the polo.
 
Uh oh. I hope you find the perpetrator. Did the police have any info?

f**k me, thats a mess!

Someone scuffed my rear bumper last week, but the damage is nothing compared to yours.

No doubt there will be massive damage on the Polo also, so i'd be keeping an eye out. Chances are, they'll live local if it's a quiet road out of the way. If not, check they don't come back. Most people do.
 
Also, as much as the neighbour is a help, I never understood how people can't remember up to 7 digits very very quickly.

I can look at a plate and remember it for ages. If they saw the 14, they must have seen other characters on the plate to narrow it down.
 
Absolutely mortified for you. I am sure justice will prevail. This idiot was probably drunk looking at the damage and that sort of damage could have easily killed a pedestrian.

Last thing you need for the weekend. I sincerely hope they catch this criminal :thumbsdown:
 
Thanks guys very much appreciated. Turns out there's a camera at the end of my road on the main road which is run by the council i think.

Gutted for you mate. Easily repairable as it's only cosmetic. But new panels would be needed imo. Don't think I'd even want them to repair the door as they may leave ripples although I can't tell how bad the door is. Similar damage to mine only obviously not as bad lol.

Blimey that is bad. Yeah it's pretty similar but looks like he missed both wheels. Knowing insurance they'll probably write it off
