Software update available.

I contacted BMW Connected drive team today and they did whatever they do and assured me it will be updated on the car within 24 hrs with no further input needed from me.

Just in case there was an issue, they also created a new link to the upgrade on the App which is now on my phone ready to download if what they say doesn't happen. Must say was impressed by the service :thumbsup:

What they also said was there is already another upgrade available but not yet ready to do remotely. They suggested next time I was passing a dealership, to pop in and they could do both at the same time while I had a coffee.

If you haven't already done this upgrade, may be worth delaying it till the other is also available remotely.

Well I had only done short journeys (less than one mile) for 2 days. Friday I drive to St Albans about 15-20 miles and it worked a treat.

Recoded car today too. Now it starts in sports individual again. ;)

I drove mine for about a mile today. When I pulled back into the drive it asked me if I wanted to do the update. Told me to put it in park then I could exit and lock the car. About 15/20 mins later I got a push notification from the my BMW app saying it was complete :thumbsup:

Oke and yes driving to the dealer is also an option.
 
Also done yesterday, was relatively painless, downloaded to the phone first, uploaded during a drive out and then installed whilst parked. :thumbsup:
 
Spirited drive for about 15 miles, battery obviously still not in a position to allow update as still showing pending. Work commute is now only 5 miles each way, so may need to stick car on the CTEK next weekend.
 
Just overnight on the Ctek (with all leds lit) was enough for mine to initiate installation the next morning
 
Was out in mine for the first time today, it’d changed the dash displays, and not for the better. No rev counter on comfort, shows that bloody stupid, how much power/energy you’re using and battery regen. Can’t seem to get is back to what I want. Very little time playing around with it so may be able to be done

I was able to get rev counter back by display - settings I think.

Called BMW connected yesterday and it turned out that my account was registered in the wrong country.
Car is loosely coupled by the helping lady and today again coupled by BMW Germany. But still no notification of an update so far.

Also get to see that the car is up to date. :x

Settings, displays, instrument cluster, engine display, rev counter.

I downloaded the upgrade via the phone successfully onto the car today.

Now have a message that I will be notified when I can install it. How long does that take?
 
Presume so. Just come back from a visit to Newcastle which is 15 miles each way but how do you check?
