I bought a Micra because my daughter wouldn't!
She bought herself a Corsa (youngsters today  ) but I test drove the old Micra and loved it - she wouldn't countenance buying the Micra so we bought it and we used it as a third car for a year or so before selling it on with no loss! Great little runabout and still running.
I bought a new Skoda Fabia in 2001 and it was terrific fun - handled brilliantly and was entertaining even though it only had a 1400cc engine  I guess it depends what you expect from them - it certainly impressed me.
Have voted - Driving and then cars - I'll drive anything (and looking at my early car history that's soooo true!) and the mundane makes the exceptional feel very special - thinks that's why the MX5, Chimeara and Zed stand out.
If you'd asked this 10 years ago it would have been - riding - motorcycles add another level of thrill, enjoyment and focus. EVERY time Steph and I returned a bike back in the garage I'd state: 'Survived again'
