SmartTop finally ordered... Now Installed.. Dangerously!

You can program the module in two ways, either via USB or by a combo of key fob and indicator stalk.
It's easier to pre-program via a laptop and USB but if you don't have that availability, the fob and indicator is the only way.
It's not easy the simplest document in the world but pages 6 & 7 of he manual should tell you what you need to know.

Does anyboy know if SmartTop could be coded to let you drive with your mirrors folded and/or keep them folded when you unlock the door with the remote?

I can't determine if the double tap to lock and fold the mirrors also disables the motion sensors.
Standard alarm is a double tap!

The mirrors automatically unfold when the car is unlocked don't they?- I'd like them to stay folded until I decide to unfold them with the switch.

Every little helps.

Looking at the instructions (function 6) they always unfold at either door open or unlock.
I think you will have to bite the bullet and press the button to fold them in again.

Don't need a PC . Use the indicator stalk in the car

Can you believe SLKs don't come with Xenon lights....I had new bulbs etc done for £500.....and what a difference. I'm having folding OEM mirrors done, you'd be shocked what in being charged....£1100
